Babysitting the Campus Jerk (On Hiatus)

Kavine grimaced as he saw Kao fake crying on his doorstep on a Monday evening. He just got back from work and he wanted to take a complete rest but Kao came knocking like some serial killer preying on his next victim.
"I wish I could just slam this door on you," he grumbled as he moved out of the way so Kao could get inside.
"I give up. I don't know what to do, Kavine. Help meee."
"I already helped you years ago, Kao."
Kao frowned. To be fair, it was Kavine who helped him get his master's degree abroad, the one thing that he couldn't tell Pete.
"I don't think I should take this, Kav. This is too much," Kao hesitated as Kavine told him about an institution wanting to sponsor his studies abroad.
"They've been doing this for years, Kao. You're not the only student they are sponsoring."
"But Pete..." his voice faltered. He didn't wanna leave Pete. He knew how much he was struggling with the company issues and his father's situation.
"I think he would understand, Kao. This is for your future."
"I don't wanna leave him at this time, Kavine. He'll completely fall apart."
"They're giving you a month to decide, Kao. It was supposed to be two weeks but I found a way to convince them to give you more time. You don't have to worry about being in the US. You can come with us as we're also planning to move there."
Kao bit his lip as he tried to weigh things. It was a great opportunity but he just couldn't leave Pete behind and he was sure he wouldn't leave the company and his father just to be with him.
"I'll think about it and please, don't tell Pete about this."
"Care to tell me what happened?" Kavine asked as he handed Kao a can of beer.
Kao didn't know where to start first so he just started by drinking all the beer in one go.
"Take it easy. I still have a lot more," Kav chuckled as he handed Kao another one.
"Ugh! I just moved in with him. What a crazy turn of events!" he clapped.
Kavine just shrugged.
"Hey! What's that shrug supposed to mean?"
"Well, I think it's high time you patch things up. It's been years, Kao."
"Excuse me? Why are you taking his side? You're supposed to take mine! You knew how heartbroken I was when I thought he proposed to someone else."
"Which all turned out to be completely wrong."
Kao went silent and grabbed another can.
"Fine. I was wrong."
"But you know what, it was also good that it happened because I was sure as hell that you would not take that scholarship hadn't it happened."
"Yeah, but I also hurt Pete in that process, Kav. I wasn't there when he lost his father. I was supposed to keep him from completely falling apart..." his voice faltered as tears started streaming down his face.
"I failed him. I feel guilty and it's eating me alive," he grumbled as he took another can.
"So what are you planning to do now, Kao."
"I wanna make peace with him, Kavine. I wanna make it up for him."

If only the floor could speak, it might have already complained under Pete's continuous stomping.
11:20 - that was what the clock said.
He knew Kao would be home late as he said that he would be at a colleague's house to do some reports. He actually wanted to tag along but decided not to as he didn't want Kao to feel that he was controlling him.
But the moment the clock hit 11:30, he just couldn't stay still.
Pete was in the middle of dialing Kao's number when the doorbell rang continuously. He immediately flung the door open, hoping to see Kao but saw Kavine instead.
Pete immediately caught Kao in his arms as soon as Kavine dropped him like a hot potato.
Kao groaned before mumbling words only a drunk person would understand.
With his mouth slightly open, he threw Kavine a questioning look.
"Don't come at me. He just came knocking on my unit like a lunatic. He even finished all the beer in my fridge," Kavine defended himself as Pete looked like he was gonna punch him any moment.
"Just go," Pete replied flatly.
"You're welcome."
Pete just eyesided Kavine for his snide remark and started dragging Kao inside the house. He was almost unconscious, rumbling incoherent words as Pete dragged him towards the sofa.
"Just how much did you drink, Kao for you to be this drunk??" Pete exclaimed as he massaged his shoulders. He had never seen Kao that drunk.
Kao started laughing, his eyes half closed as he started pointing random things in the living room before pointing at their graduation picture. "Hmmm. Yhou lhook handshome in that picshure."
Pete, with his hands akimbo, sighed in frustration.
"Come here. Let me take you to your room," he said gently as he help Kao to get up.
But the drunk man on the sofa just stood abruptly with his arms wide open, hitting Pete on the chin and knocking him down.
"I brought peasssh with meh!" Kao shouted, his hand clenched into a fist over his head.
The noise probably caught Peter's attention as the kid peered over from the second floor.
"Is everything all right, Dad?"
"Yes, son. Just go back to sleep. I'll take care of everything here."
It was a good thing that Peter didn't say a word and disappeared into his room.
"Come on, Kao. You need to change your clothes. You stink of alcohol."
"Nho! I whant pheaase. Pheaase be with you!" Kao shouted again as he lost his footing and stumbled on the floor.
Pete immediately helped Kao and started dragging him. His energy was all spent as he struggled to keep both their balance. With Kao resisting him, it definitely took him more time to move Kao from half across the room.
He wiped the sweat on his face as he looked at the stairs. He started contemplating how to drag Kao to his room without them falling down the stairs.
But to his surprise, Kao willingly went on and didn't even stumble on his way up. He just followed him from behind, making sure to catch him if ever he started rolling down.
But what surprised him more was where Kao was heading to instead of his own room.
He watched as Kao opened his room, which was just across Kao's, and dropped in his bed.
"Are you sure you wanna sleep in my room, Kao?" he asked naughtily as he leaned on the doorframe. His hands were across his chest as he amusingly looked at the man lying in his bed.
Kao then proceeded to rumbling yet another set of incomprehensible words before standing on the bed.
Pete quickly approached him, fearing that he might fell down.
"I broughhhht peeeasssh withhh meeh!" Kao shouted the same line.
Pete didn't have a clue what Kao was talking about and just dismissed it as the alcohol talking.
But as he tried to keep Kao safe from harm, he was instead then faced with such a sight that would make him remember that night for the rest of his life.
For the moment Kao shouted that line for the nth time, he then removed his pants and undergarments, revealing his naked lower body to Pete.
"Kao, wha-what are you doing?"
Kao grinned devilishly.
"I broought peasssh withh meeh," he repeated before holding his member and spraying Pete's bed with his piss.
"I bhhhroughht peeeaassshhh witth meeehhhh!"
"Kaaaaooo!!!!"
Kao's maniacal laughter and Pete's hysterical screams both pierced through the silence of the night.
