Chapter Twenty-two: you are in troubles

Nala POV.

It's a new day and new adventure but the adventures can wait till after my nap. I was watching

Mathew and Zach play fight, it wasn't even a real argument! They were fighting over who loves the

other more! None the less it was fun to watch the fake fight, I must have fallen asleep at some point.

Looking around I find that I'm sleeping on the sofa with a blanket around me. Huh, how? I don't

remember coming over to the sofa or getting a blanket.

Then I hear the angry voices coming from the room I know to be Christian's office.

I hear the mention of my name and walk toward the door, now I'm interested. I'm not crazy enough

to go in, I just want to know what's happening. Maybe they are agreeing on giving me up, I'm a lost

battle no matter how much I want them and they say they want me I know they will found a better

mate than me...

I can words like “she's not ready” and "what will the others say” and what hurts the most "she's not

strong enough”.

How dare they say that I'm not strong, they know nothing about me. I've been on my own for way

too long, I had to fight to survive when I was hardly an adult. I'm a fighter, I don't give up. Being

spoiled by them for a month didn't change who I am, it might be nice to be taken care of but I still

know how to care of myself.

I'm too mad to listen anymore, they are still talking some screaming but I'm done and I just leave

the house.

I'm not sure where I'm going but I'm out of here, first, I need to find the gates. Then I'll figure

something up from there, I'll get my old job back or something.

With my mind made I start running, even after my power nap I get tired quickly and have to slow

my pace to fast walking. It took me forever of aimless wandering not sure which way is the correct

one. I finally made it to the gates and I saw there are two guys there, the guards. Well, Kane did say

they will have my name and let me pass but he also said they will take me back to the main house

which is the last place I would want to go to.

I got closer to the gate when the first guy came closer to me and asked "where are you going little

girl? "

"Uhhh...out,” I said nervously, bypassing telling him my name.

"Out where? I never have seen you before and it's a long walk to the main road"

"I just want to get out will you please open the gates," I asked with my best innocent voice, it work

on Jace more than once when caught me eating cookies before dinner.

"No you can't go out, now go back home before I call your parent and tell them you're here"

With a huff I turn around, I don't want them to call the guys on me, I'm not ready to get back home

yet and maybe not ever.

I'm walking but in the opposite direction of the main house.

I'm not exactly dressed for the occasion I had one of the boys" T-shirt on with some shorts my

favorite type of outfits when Kyle isnt dressing me. It was getting cold and dark.

Shit, you'd think with me being a wolf and all I won't be afraid of the dark but no use. I'm still

scared.

I'm hugging my torso and walking when I stumble into a clearance it looks like the one near the

main house but I know it's not the same, this one has some small house scattered around. There is a

group of guys standing there. Just my luck. I try to avoid them but they notice me.

"Ohh hey pretty baby I've never seen you before"

I'm used to catcalls from work so I simply ignore them and keep walking. That until I feel a hand

gripping my elbow hard " I'm talking to you girl * the guy is around 5'10, brown eyes, and brown

hair he's not the ripped either. I try to pry my elbow away but he keeps his hold on me.

"Well well aren't you a feisty little thing" he purrs in my face

"Let go of me," I say through my gritted teeth.

"What you going to do huh little girl," he says then adds "cry to your mommy and daddy" and laugh

at his lame joke.

I'm about done with him, I'm tired and hungry. Mates. The word pop in my head and it gives me an

idea. Ryland taught me how to call for them after I was turned and Christian did reply to my calling.

Well if they still want me, this is a good way to find out and if they don't I can’t even think about

that case. True I am mad at them but it hurt to know they don’t want me anymore.

I tilt my head back and howl, it's a deep voice coming from within me.

The second I'm done I feel a sting on my cheek it takes a second to register that he just slapped me.

"What have u done u brat?" he screams in my face and pushes me to the ground. I fell on my knees

with a scream.

I'm still on the ground when we hear the growling.

"Jess I think you are in trouble” his friend whisper loudly to him.

I look up to see Aidan and he looked pissed. I ran to him screaming "Daddy!!" he catches me midair

and lifts me in his arms. Now my bully looks pale and scared. Don't mess with me.

"Would you like to explain what's happening here, Jesse?” Aidan asks in a scary voice I've never

heard before.

"Uhh..sir..she..she...." jess stutter not able to form words under daddy Aidan piercing gaze

"Yes, she? Angel, what happened? " Aidan ask me next giving up the Jesse guy.

"He tried to call me but I ignored him then he took hold of my arm and wouldn't let go and when I

called for you he hit me," I say with a big pout.

"Did u say he'd hit you?” Aidan asks through gritted teeth.

I just nodded and buried my face in his chest.

"Consider yourself grounded, and expect a call from me later..go now," Aidan says like a mad father

scolding their disobedient brat.

"Now you angel! What are you doing here? Where did you think you're going! Deep trouble Nala!"

Aidan turns his scolding to me.

Ohh damn look I'm in deep trouble too.
