Chapter 12 Is It Normal For Your Family To Be Harum-Scarum?

Mu Zhi specially chose a mini white evening dress. She looked dignified, yet casual with some light

makeup on. When she was done, Lu Jinye took a necklace and put it on for her before heading out.

Mu Zhi looked at the necklace. She couldn’t help but feel curious, because this gift looked used, and it

only had a small red heart-shaped diamond on it. It was different from the luxurious gifts Lu Jinye had

given her.

“This is the necklace my mother picked when she was still around for her future daughter-in-law.”

Lu Jinye explained lightly.

“Then I shall return it after today.” Mu Zhi was fully self-aware.

Lu Jinye did not answer her. He let Mu Zhi hold his arm and get into the car. Then, they headed

towards the Lu’s Manor.

In the past, Mu Zhi knew that Lu Jinye had a wealthy family, but Mu Zhi did not know that Lu Jinye’s

family was rolling in cash!

The Lu’s Manor looked almost like a kingdom. It was situated in a relatively marginal area of the south-

eastern corner of City A. From a distance, Mu Zhi could see well-organized houses built in the

humongous manor. After Mu Zhi followed Lu Jinye into the manor, it took them a while to arrive at the

main courtyard. They got off the car and walked in. Inside the manor, it was even more extraordinarily

splendorous, an understated luxury.

Mu Zhi suddenly felt that she might be stupid to divorce Lu Jinye. It was a pity if she hadn’t ridden on

his coattails for a bit.

As soon as Mu Zhi entered the door, she saw an old man sitting in the living room. His hair had turned

gray, but his eyes were brimming with authority, confident and assertive.

“Father.” Mu Zhi recognized him spontaneously and hurriedly called out with a smile on her face.

Lu Jinye did not call Master Lu father. He just reached out and handed the items in his hands to the

housekeeper beside him, and asked, “Is Ming here?”

“Lu Leiming has gone to pick your new sister-in-law.”

As soon as he finished his words, a clear and loud voice suddenly came from upstairs.

“Ye, you are back! Come! Let me have a look at my knowledgeable sister-in-law!”

While saying that, he walked downstairs.

Mu Zhi looked at the man in front of her. He looked beautiful but wicked. His peachy eyes were

fascinating, and his demeanor seemed unruly.

“My name is Lu Yunxi. How should I address you?”

“Just sister-in-law is fine.” Lu Jinye responded Lu Yunxi.

“Of course my sister-in-law is called sister-in-law, but I need to know her name too. I have long heard

that she is very smart. Now that I’ve seen for myself that she’s a true beauty, I’d like to know her

name.”

“Come to the study with me.”

Without waiting for Mu Zhi to reply Lu Yunxi, Master Lu told Lu Jinye to go to the study.

Mu Zhi and Lu Yunxi were left alone, so Mu Zhi had no choice but tell Lu Yunxi her name, “Mu Zhi.”

“Is it the same characters as the herbal substance Mu Zhi? It sounds great!”

Lu Yunxi was simply too talkative.

While Mu Zhi looked at Lu Yunxi, and then turned her gaze upstairs with a frown.

“Are you and Lu Jinye birth siblings?”

“We’re half siblings who share the same father.”

Lu Yunxi did not seem uncomfortable talking about this. Instead, he looked quite happy to be able to

chat with Mu Zhi, “Jinye looks more like the master, only a little like his mother. I look more like my

mother, and only a little like the master. That’s why we don’t look identical.”

Lu Family was such a mess.

She had just come and what she heard had already confused her.
