Mu Zhi stayed where she stood and didn’t move. She was shocked still.

She did not expect Lu Jinye to spend this much time on this… Everyone knew that charity work took a

lot of time and would be a long arduous process. If Lu Jinye was seriously invested in this, it would take

“Why are you here?”

Mu Zhi snorted. She smiled as she shrugged him off then turned to look at him. “I came to discuss

something serious with you.”

“What did you want to discuss?”

Lu Jinye frowned.

Mu Zhi gave him a gentle look and smiled, “Just… I don’t think you need to do all this for me. Those

comments don’t affect me.”

Mu Zhi’s heart was filled with gratitude as she said this.

With one hand, Lu Jinye pulled her back into his embrace and explained with a laugh, “I’m not doing

this for you. I just want you to be happy.”

“I’m happy just to have you.”

Just this morning, she had never felt such freedom when she sent Mu Xiaomu to school. It brought her

such joy.

When she found out that this was all made possible by Lu Jinye, she was touched.

“If it made you happy, then I’ll expect a good performance tonight.”

the door.
