worried about him.

“Seems like it was a false alarm.”

Mu Zhi looked at their surroundings and said to Lu Jinye.

“It was not a scare. You have nearly lost me.”

Lu Jinye said with a very serious expression.

The relaxed air clung onto Mu Zhi instantly disappeared into tension once again. She frowned and

looked at Lu Jinye.

“What do you mean? Are you hurt?”

Seeing her reaction, Lu Jinye caressed and smoothened her hair. He was smiling as he said, “Just

wanted to see how you look when you are nervous. I was just joking.”

With that, he held Mu Zhi’s hand, “Although our plan has been delayed, we can continue towards our

destination.”

As he spoke, he took Mu Zhi’s hand and led her towards the house.
