Chapter 38 What Happened Last Night

Shen Mobo looked at Xiao Qingqing’s back for a long time before he turned around, went back to his

room and locked himself up.

He was not interested in what would happen next… Where Xiao Qingqing went or whether it went well

or not.

When Xiao Qingqing arrived at Lu Jinye’s room, it was already daylight. Under the beckoning of the

butler, she quickly got into Lu Jinye’s room. She closed the door, laid beside Lu Jinye and quickly took

off her clothes.

At this moment, a loud noise was heard from outside. It was the butler stopping Lu Junnian from

barging into the room.

“You can’t go in, you can’t go in!”

The butler tried to block Lu Junnian while admonishing him aloud.

Nevertheless, Lu Junnian glared at the butler coldly. His murderous aura was so terrifying that the

butler shrank and dared not stop him.

Therefore, he could only stall him for a bit before he managed to get in.

“Hurry up, open Lu Jinye’s room! Tell me where Lu Jinye is!”

“Sorry… You can’t… I won’t tell you, please leave.”

The butler repeated himself. Looking flustered, he quickly made a face at the waiter behind him,

beckoning him to notify Shen Mobo immediately.

Lu Jinye was awakened by the noise outside. He frowned slightly, as he felt his head throbbing. It felt

similar to a hangover’s headache, so painful that it made him rub his temples.

He had barely drunk the night before. Why did he feel this way?

Lu Jinye frowned as he got out of the bed. He stood up straightaway and was prepared to head

towards the door.

Xiao Qingqing wanted to stop him, but she retreated as soon as she stretched her hand out. She

turned over and pretended to sleep soundly.

Lu Jinye walked towards the door and habitually put on a coat. When he opened the door and saw Lu

Junnian, his face froze, looking terrifying as ever.

“Looking for me?”

Lu Jinye looked at Lu Junnian coldly.

Lu Junnian just snorted coldly, “For the sake of your reputation, it would be best if we discuss this

inside your room.”

“You can talk here.”

Lu Junnian wanted to walk into the room, but was stopped by Lu Jinye instantaneously.

He didn’t intend to let Lu Junnian in.

“Even if you are shameless, Mu Zhi still has a reputation to keep!”

Lu Junnian squinted at Lu Jinye coldly and chided. He ignored Lu Jinye and broke into his room.

The room was dim and exuded an exquisite atmosphere. If Lu Junnian hadn’t known that Mu Zhi had

open. The whole room instantly became brighter.

drowsy morning voice, “Jinye, it’s so early… It’s too bright, please draw the curtains, alright?!”

Alas! She finally only realized that Lu Junnian was there too!

She was so frightened that she quickly wrapped herself up with the quilt.

When Lu Junnian saw Xiao Qingqing in bed, he did not even stop to think. He flung a punch into Lu

Jinye’s face.

“You monster!”

Lu Junnian bellowed as Lu Jinye pushed him away with all his strength. He frowned at Xiao Qingqing

who appeared to be on his bed.

What happened the night before was like a dream… But… In the dream, he couldn’t tell whether the

woman on the bed was Mu Zhi or the only woman he had ever had?

How did she turn into Xiao Qingqing?

“Qingqing, why are you here?”

Although everything was different from what Xiao Qingqing had expected and practiced during her

rehearsal, Xiao Qingqing still glanced at Lu Jinye coyly, and said embarrassedly, “Jinye, you called me

last night. Did you forget? “

Lu Jinye frowned again. His temples were sore. The memories he had of last night were all

glanced at Mu Zhi, “You’re awake?”

Mu Zhi nodded, a little embarrassed, “What happened? Why am I here?”

She clearly remembered that she was in the Banya Mount Chateau!

“Lu Junnian sent you here.”

Bai Shao wasn’t one who’d reveal his patients’ private matters to strangers, so he just answered

simply.

But this answer made Mu Zhi even more confused.

“Lu Junnian? When did he send me here?”

“Last night.”

“Why?”

did he send her to the hospital.

However, before she could finish her question, a man barged into the room. The man pushed the door

open and ordered Bai Shao coldly, “I’m back, you can go out first.”

Lu Junnian stepped forward and pointed into Mu Zhi’s face!
