Chapter 40 Mister, Watch Me Dance

Mu Xiaomu was happily practicing her dance moves while moving towards the washroom. All of a

sudden, she was in the air.

She turned around quickly and saw an extremely handsome face.

Mu Xiaomu was bewildered for an instant. She blinked her cute, round eyes and smiled at Lu Jinye.

On the other hand, Lu Yunxi was astonished by the sight that laid before his eyes. Lu Jinye was holding

a child in his arms for a good minute and it seemed that he had no intention to put her down.

For a second, Lu Yunxi thought he was mistaken…

Besides, for some reason, they both looked so harmonious together.

When the two of them were still staring at each other, Lu Yunxi walked up to the little girl and asked,

“Hey there. What’s your name?”

“Mu Xiaomu.”

Not wanting to leave Lu Jinye’s arms, Mu Xiaomu replied amiably.

“Mu Xiaomu? Last name is Mu…”

Lu Yunxi could not help but examined Mu Xiaomu, “Could this child be you and sister-in-law’s love

child? Don’t you think she looks like Mu Zhi?”

Lu Jinye frowned and glared at Lu Yunxi. He then put Mu Xiaomu down.

Lu Jinye carefully examined Mu Xiaomu. Because of the little swan dance, this little girl’s hair was tied

into a small bun. Her light complexion complimented by a pair of star-like big eyes, she looked adorable

wearing the little swan skirt.

“Where is your mom?”

This beautiful child, albeit able to go to the lavatory by herself, the mother should not let her child

wander around on her own. How terrible would it be for such a small child to run into the men’s room?

“Mama… Mama will come later.”

Mu Xiaomu answered earnestly, blinking her eyes once again at Lu Jinye.

Suddenly, she placed her arms on her belly, “Pee… I need to pee… Mister, can you wait for me? I need

to pee first. I…”

It seemed that Mu Xiaomu wanted a longer chat with Lu Jinye, but she needed to go.

Usually, Lu Jinye would turn down such request without blinking his eyes. He had no patience for kids,

that was why he did not want to have kids with Mu Zhi.

His family background was complicated. Growing up, he never had a happy childhood. He believed

that people like him would not be able to provide a happy childhood for his child.

“Okay, go ahead. We will wait for you!”

Seeing that there was no reply from Lu Jinye, Lu Yunxi wondered what he was thinking.

The little girl grabbed Lu Jinye’s trousers and waited eagerly for a reply. Lu Yunxi quickly replied on

behalf of Lu Jinye.

Mu Xiaomu withdrew her little hand after receiving an affirmation. She ran towards the washroom

quickly and this time, she did not enter the wrong one.

On the other hand, Mu Zhi stood by the door, glancing at the time.

The hall was bigger than expected, and because there were other events on top of the children’s days

activities, the hall was crowded with people.

completed in five minutes.

All this while, she kept paying attention to whether Mu Xiaomu had come out from the washroom, but

Mu Zhi’s heart dropped in an instant. She took a glimpse at Lu Jinye, then bit her lip and said, “Yes,

such a coincidence. I passed by and was going to the bookstore opposite here to buy two books, but I

needed to use the toilet so I came here quickly.”

Lu Jinye seems to be in deep thoughts, I wonder what is he thinking.

And beside him, the eyes of Lu Yunxi look… Daunting.

Mu Zhi then hurriedly walked into the washroom.

could not cover it in time. Lu Jinye was too smart after all.

The name of this game was the Little Actor.

Once the game started, Mu Xiaomu was not allowed to call Mu Zhi mother, she had to pretend that she

was not her daughter.

This game was childish.

But Mu Xiaomu was the happiest as long as she could play with Mu Zhi.

Mu Xiaomu smiled instantly, nodded her head and stopped talking. She walked straight out of the

washroom.

She scanned around the area when she had come out. When she saw Lu Jinye, she instantly struck

with joy and hugged his thigh tightly.

“Mister, I will play as the little swan later. Do you want to watch?”

Lu Jinye frowned as he starred at this little girl.

“This mister doesn’t like to watch children dancing.”

Lu Yunxi deliberately teased Mu Xiaomu. He was right after all, Lu Jinye did express his dislike for

being a judge.

Upon hearing that, Mu Xiaomu glanced at Lu Yunxi for a moment, then tears could be seen in her

watery eyes.

But it seemed that she did not want to be seen crying, so she tried to hide her tears.

She looked even more lovely when she did that.

Lu Jinye knelt down, looked at Mu Xiaomu and said, “I will watch if you don’t cry.”

He was already dragged there, hence he might as well watch the little swan.

In an instant, Mu Xiaomu burst into laughter. She walked towards Lu Jinye and placed a kiss on his

cheeks.

Lu Jinye was surprised by the sudden kiss.

Lu Yunxi could not help but laugh, looking at the harmonious scene.

In the washroom… Mu Zhi was as anxious as a hen with one chick.
