Wei Lingnan swept him a cold glance. His eyes were like that of a mysterious creature, sending chills down Pei Chengyou’s spine. This sort of repression was silent and intangible, but powerful all the same. Pei Chengyou was afraid to say anything more as he led Pei Yan and the rest away hurriedly.

It was peaceful and quiet again.

Only then did Xia Yingluo push his arm away. “Let go of me.”

“This is the sort of attitude you have towards your benefactor?” Wei Lingnan’s voice was soft like the breeze.

Xia Yingluo glared at him. “These are separate matters. Continue holding me this way and I’ll punch you.”

Wei Lingnan chuckled.
