“Tell Scabby Qiang to get his ass here right now, else—” He smiled, showing his freakishly white teeth. “Believe it or not, by tomorrow morning, I will make sure he can no longer live peacefully in City S anymore.”

His ghastly intentions sent a chill down their spines.

Pei Yan rebutted. “Nonsense! Spouting such nonsense when no one here even knows who you are!” The Cat Eyes Bar was held with high regard within the bar scene in City S, akin to Imperial Entertainment’s status in the entertainment industry. No one could easily threaten it. She guessed that Li Rui was bluffing and instructed the security officers. “What are you waiting for, get him out of here.”

Li Rui smirked at them. He was strangely at ease despite the circumstances.

The head security guard gave his underling a look. He understood immediately and went to look for Brother Qiang.

Li Rui chuckled at their antics. He called over the two girls behind him and said, “Have some fruits, the grapes here are delicious. I peeled the skin for you, it will be a waste if you don’t eat them.”

Xia Yingluo smiled and sat down to enjoy the fruits.

Jin Ling’er followed suit. With Li Rui’s status, they were not afraid of anyone. Soon, they would see Pei Yan make a fool of herself. It was the first time Jin Ling’er saw something so exciting and she was prepared to enjoy the great show ahead. She asked the waiter, “Do you have popcorn?”

The waiter was caught by surprise. Miss, do you not see the tense atmosphere building up?

And yet you asked for popcorn?!

“And two sodas, no ice,” Xia Yingluo added.

The waiter was speechless. These two girls were out of their minds!

However, in the spirit of his duty, he adhered to their requests.

They thought that Xia Yingluo was dejected and was about to ridicule her. Who would’ve expected things to end up like this?

Zhao Yixuan did not dare to take his anger out on Pei Yan; he suppressed his anger and tried to ignore the pain. At the end of the day, Pei Yan was his fiancee. He had put in tons of effort to attain her liking and did not want all this to be in vain by offending her. Even if he did not love her, her rich family background was enough for him to swallow his pride.

If he had to blame someone, it would have been Xia Yingluo for being too poor! If not for her, he would not have left her and instead went for the rich girl in Pei Yan.

Zhao Yixuan turned around and looked at Xia Yingluo.

Xia Yingluo was wearing a dark-colored dress, and the tiny sparkles on her dress dazzled under the light. Her glossy long hair fell carelessly onto her shoulders, showing off a good portion of her neck. She rested on the burgundy couch and ate her grapes slowly, holding them at her fingertips. Zhang Yixuan would even turn into the grapes to get closer to her.

Noticing his gaze, Xia Yingluo smiled.

She whispered something into the Jin Ling’er’s ears. Jin Ling’er smiled as well and looked at Zhao Yixuan with despise. No matter how foolish Zhao Yixuan was, he understood that Xia Yingluo was badmouthing him.

There was no avenue for him to vent his frustration, he could only stare at them with dagger eyes and turn away.

He thought, When the owner of the bar, Brother Qiang, is here, let’s see who will have the last laugh!

No matter how influential Brother Qiang was, he had to give the Pei Family some face!

A bald man hurriedly ran over. He was clearly unhappy, but the moment he realized who was causing the commotion, his expression changed. Now smiling, he quickened his steps and came over.
