“Start the car,” Xia Yingluo said. She didn’t want to be involved with Wei Lingnan anymore.

“Could you bear to?” he asked gently.

“I’m not unhappy!” She glared fiercely at him.

“What is this?” She was a little stunned.

“Open it,” Wei Lingnan said.

The little box was extremely beautiful, with specks and fragments of golden light embellished on it. It glittered and shone brilliantly in her hands. Xia Yingluo thought about it and felt like if Wei Lingnan was really trying to kill her, he wouldn’t bother obtaining such a beautiful box, so she opened the box.

In the box were some powder and ointment-shaped things. Xia Yingluo returned to her senses and looked up at her. “Why are you giving me this?”

Wei Lingnan chuckled. “Just now during the banquet, after Gu Jinxiu took the gift, your face was full of unhappiness, so I guessed that you wanted it.” This was why he hadn’t exposed Gu Jinxiu’s intentions about their relationship. Her name sounded like the most moving whisper of a lover from his lips.
