Li Lei still did not respond. Instead, another man’s voice was heard, “Who are you? Don’t come between Sister Su and Young Master Lei. Sister Su is already more than a month pregnant!”

“Da Li!” Li Lei was angered.

Xia Ling suspected she was hearing things. She asked quietly, “What?”

“Listen to you?” Her voice was even softer now. H e did not deny what the other man said, which meant that Su Tang was really pregnant. But, with his child?

Xia Ling shook her head and walked out of the room. She did not want to be near Pei Ziheng.

Pei Ziheng was gloating internally as he saw her back view. He dialed the same number she did before and someone picked up almost immediately. “I’m looking for Li Lei.”

Li Lei received the phone and asked, “Pei Ziheng, how come it’s you this time?”

“Stop hurting Xiao Ling,” Pei Ziheng said calmly in a low voice. “Since you can’t give her happiness, then stop pestering her. She cried in my arms just now, her eyes are badly swollen.”

“She’s with you now?” Li Lei’s voice turned cold.

“Young Master!” A few of them tried dissuading him. “You’re still seriously injured!”

“Don’t fuss.” He spat those words out coldly and walked out.

Once he had walked far enough, discussions erupted —

“Young Master is too cruel. Sister Su is pregnant and he’s going to meet another woman!”

“What kind of vixen is Ye Xingling? Old Master has already chased her out, and she’s still pestering Young Master. How shameless!”

“Exactly, how can she compare to our Sister Su in any way!”
