They were different from Ye Yu. Towards what was about to happen next, they had no idea. Therefore, they naturally took every chance they got to recover their strengths and staminas.

Like this, about four hours later, when the last group of successful participants ascended Heaven’s Platform, the stone ladder was completely closed off.

The person in charge of the selection simply said a few words before leading the participants towards the end of the Heaven’s Platform.

They glanced at the tens of thousands feet tall cliff as the wind howled, creating a terrifying atmosphere.

After hearing the person in charge explain the rules for the Dragon’s Gate, almost all of the participants’ faces paled.

Even Ye Yu who had prepared for this was no exception.

Xuan Yi who had been carefully watching after her clearly noticed this. The fingertips by the woman’s thighs were slightly trembling.

“You’re that afraid?”

Ye Yu heard a familiar voice ring by her ears and she slightly snapped out of her trance, shifting her gaze away from the frightening cliff.

Xuan Yi couldn’t help but instinctively knit his eyebrows after glancing at Ye Yu’s frightened eyes.

He reached over and grabbed Ye Yu’s hands. As expected, it was chilling cold.

“If you’re really afraid, then don’t continue, ok?”

Xuan Yi softened his voice and comforted, asking.

Ye Yu dug her fingertips and the pain from the palm of her hand led her to become rational.

She smiled and said, “It’s fine.”

Once she finished that, Ye Yu shifted her gaze towards the bottomless cliff.

Xuan Yi who stood by her side glanced at her stiffened body and her absent-minded gaze, knitting his eyebrows tightly.

Yet, he knew deeply that Ye Yu wasn’t one to give in. If she set her mind on something, even fear and instinct won’t cause her to back off.

The person in charge of the selection had long noticed Ye Yu’s hesitance, but seeing that she was just a delicate and tender woman, he didn’t scold her. But watching as Ye Yu was basically inching step by step towards the edge of the cliff, he couldn’t help but open his mouth.

There was always someone who wanted to back out of the second round in every selection, so the person in charge didn’t think otherwise.

Ye Yu’s lips trembled and she was about to say something when she saw a figure in between her and the person in charge.

Ye Yu was a bit shocked and she looked up to meet Xuan Yi’s gaze.

His eyes were gentle like the spring waters when she glanced at the eyes in front of her.

Xuan Yi placed his arm down and held Ye Yu’s fingertips, saying, “I’ll accompany you, ok?”

The person in charge knitted her eyebrows and said, “This is not —”

Before he finished his words, Xuan Yi’s black eyes had swept over him.

A flicker of blue flame had flashed by deep in his eyes.

The person in charge was absent-minded for a second before he swallowed his words.

At that moment, Xuan Yi shifted his gaze and before Ye Yu could say anything, he suddenly held her hand and jumped down the cliff with her.
