The Alpha's Curve
Yes I am aware of the spelling mistakes, I plan on finishing the book first and then fixing mistakes.

Amelia's POV
I walk out of the hospital around 4o'clock in the afternoon, so much for having the car for only a couple hours.
Zithanial is standing there waiting for me beside the car, I had sent him a message through the bond that I was ready to leave. "Everything okay?" He asks opening his arms to invite me in.
I smile and slowly sink into my mate's warmth, there was no need for words. I wrap my arms around his torso and soak up the peacefulness. Today had been a good day, I woke up in my mate's arms after an eventful night and Adrain is alive. Compared to the rest of my life, this is good and I hope it only gets better from now on.
Zithanial unwraps his arms from around me and brings a hand to cup my face, it is moments like these that time stands still. Zithanial's face is slowly getting closer and closer to mind, his beautiful greens eyes wandering all around my face. Just as his lips are about it touch mine, I take a breath in through my nose. And I smell it, I can smell blood coming from Zithanial's hands. Nothing strong like it is visual on his hands, but like have tried to wash off the blood and the scent is left.
I jerk my head back before Zithanial's lips were able to touch mine.
Zithanial freezes, I can feel the tenseness in his hand still cupping my face, "What is wrong?" He asks with confusion written all over his face.
"Where were you?" My voice no daring to go above a whisper.
Zithanial's brows squish together, "What do you mean where I was? I thought you wanted me to not going with you?" He takes a step forward bringing us together once again.
"I did, but where did you go when I was in the Hospital." I harden my voice.
Understanding crosses Zithanial's face, "I was in the jail compound."
"And why do I smell blood on your hand?"
Zithanial closes his eyes for a second before opening again and letting out a breath, "I helped my Father with Saxon's punishment."
I took a step back, even though it is what I thought the answer would be; it was still hard to hear it. "I thought I was the one deciding the punishment for them?"
Zithanial takes a breath in, "Yes and that punishment still stand for everyone else, however, Saxon and Tiffany will be receiving something different as they made an attempt on your life. Alpha made the decision and I had seconded it. I'm sorry, I know it wasn't what you wanted but as they tried to kill you, psychically kill you, they now are held to the law." Zithanial had stayed his distance away from me and I could feel the anger for them radiating through him.
~ You know it was the right call~ my wolf whispers
I know, and I understand.
~So why don't you tell him that and not me!~
"It's okay, I know it had to be done. It is our law after all." I may not like the idea but I know whether they go with the death penalty or banishment, it will be the right decision. "Come on, lets go home," I pull on a smile and jump into the car.
Zithanial and I hold hands on the way back and I can feel his anger slowly fading away again.
We walk into the house are are greeted with Luna, "Darling, we are preparing a dinner for the pack tonight. Your Father and I thought that it would be a good idea to bring to pack together in a more peaceful environment, then afterwards have a moonlight run to strength our pack bond." Mum pulls me into a hug, "Would you join us in cooking?"
Cooking, it feels like I haven't done that in forever. I give Mum a nod, "I'll be in there in just a minute."
Mum's smile only brightens as she claps her hands, "Terrific, I can wait to tell the girls and Pablo."
I turn to Zithanial, "Is it alright if I go and help with dinner?" I ask nervously. I look down at my feet, I still can't seem to shake how submissive I can be. I know Zithanial would give me anything I wanted it, but a bit of time is needed.
Zithanial's hand takes my chin, lifting my head, "You never have to ask me for permission to do something. You are my Luna, my equal, my love. You can do whatever you choose Amelia and I will always be by your side in your decision; no matter the size. Never think of me as your keeper, if anything you are mine. I would love it if you cooked for us, I would love to try what you make." And I melt at his words, did God read my diary and create the perfect mate out of it?
I throw my arms around Zithanial and hug him so tightly that my squashed boobs hurt. I can feel my eyes start to sting with fresh tears, words cannot describe how I am feeling right now. Like, I have found that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, like an artist finally completing her masterpiece. Like I just found the love of my life, my mate after years of torture and waiting. Like I don't have to be afraid anymore.
With a smile on my face I rushed down the stairs taking two at a time and a huge jump at the end. For a second I paused waiting for someone to make a fat joke, probably about a cow or something; but when I looked around the room everyone was busying themselves with whatever task Luna had set them. People were carrying chairs, tables, cloths towards the giant yard and others had decorations to scatter around the place.
The pack was a buzz with energy, everyone excited about the upcoming dinner. However I could feel the tension, the tension everyone felt when they were around me. The Alpha-to-be's mate who was bullied by the teens of the pack, yet no one seemed to give a crap.
~Yay, I can't wait to spend the next couple of years with this feeling along everyone ~ my wolf groans
You don't think it will last that long will you?
~Of course it will, I wouldn't be surprised if it last for the rest of our life. I told you that we should have told Alpha ages ago ~
Don't! I growl at her. Do not bring this back on me, I know I should have but that is in the past now. Time to move on, not necessarily forget, but move on.
~Fine, but you are letting me out tonight and I am taking over ~
I laugh. Fine fine, you can be the leader tonight Luna.
At my words I can feel my wolf pulsate with happiness, Luna, she was born to be Luna. I let her energy radiate though me as I enter the kitchen.
"Darling!" Luna shouts from the other side of the kitchen. Head look up from their work as I walk towards the smiling Luna. She is elbows deep in some type of dough, from the smell it is probably pizza base. Next to her is a new member of the pack, Tracey I believe her name is, her family just moved here from the outback. "Now Darling this is Tracey, would you mind working with her so I can go sort out the mess Pablo is making." Luna rips her hands out of the dough and basically screams for Pablo to put down the tongs. Pablo being the packs fabulous gay member who is also Luna's brother.
Tracey smiles at me shyly as she places the dough on a floured bench. "I'm not much of a cook," she nervously giggles.
Feeling the Luna duties take over, a reassuring smile graces my face, "It's okay, nothing fancy needs to be done here and between you and me." I lower my voice into a whisper, "We could probably put a pizza from the frozen aisle and they'll eat it too fast to notice a difference."
Tracey giggles again and I feel her loosen up a bit.
Mmm I'm not too bad at this Luna stuff, I smile to myself at my proud moment. Almost instinctively my shoulders move back bringing my chest up, standing taller.
We roll out the dough into several large pizza circles, our arrangement of toppings is all meat with only a few vegetables sprinkled in there for colour. We are a bunch of wolves after all.
I talk with Tracey as we spread various toppings over the pizzas, I ask about the outback and how pack life was there. It sounds like their pack was very old fashion and cut off with no humans in the mix. Which is fair enough being a very remote pack, however it also means her family will be undergoing a huge change coming here.
Tracey says this pack seems nice, but I know she is leaving out the fact we just had a major trial featuring your one-and-only Me.
I agree with her about the pack being nice, because it is, it is a good pack. It just has an unfortunate generation of kids that think violence is acceptable.
Even though Tracey knows about the issues that have arisen involving me, I get the feeling she doesn't take pity on me like everyone else.
Tracey takes a deep breath, "To tell you the truth I was a little scared when Luna told be she was going to get you to help me. I was a bit worried you wouldn't like me as I'm a bit of an outsider to the pack. But you are such an amazing person, thank you are being so welcoming."
I freeze at Tracey's words, never has someone told me that. Spoke to me like I am the person they look up to.
"That's not a problem Trace, we are all friends and family here, never be a stranger." I sprinkle the last of the cheese on the pizza as my chest, yet again fills with happiness. I could get use to this.
