✨ His pride ✨
His Unwanted Desire
Samantha
Today is our product launch day and right now I'm sitting in our dressing room. Our Company has invested a big amount in this project and this is one of our main brands. In this past month, I have tried my best to work on myself. I have coordinated with every single designer who has designed the jewellery pieces and tried to read their purpose so that I can present that well.
Every piece of jewellery are so lavish and elegant in design that someone would barely takes their eyes off. Now, it's my job to reveal and represent each one of them in front of the whole world.
My dresses are designed by Sheetal Chopra who is India's top fashion designer. "Samantha, wear this", she said coming inside the room. I gasped looking at the dress although it was beautiful yet a bit exposing for me like I have never wore such dresses before.
"This....?", I asked with narrowed eyes.
She twisted her eyebrows at me, "Of course, what's wrong with this?"
"Nothing is wrong. I mean....it's....a bit.... exposing", I shuttered.
"Samantha, the model has to wear this. Ye toh pehle sochna tha naa", she said in annoyance while I bit my lips in nervousness.
"Isha use to wear this so what's the problem with you? Don't you want to give justice to the jewellery? These dresses are customised for those pieces only", she uttered and I sighed heavily.
"But the neck.... I have never wore such dresses before, Sheetal", I tried explaining her.
"C'mon, Samantha. Abhimaan has trusted you a lot for this project. Can't you even do this for him?", she said handling me the dress.
"Ab chalo pehn lo jaldi se. The show is about to start soon", she said walking out of the room. Tears welled up in my eyes as I looked at the dress.
"Sheetal is right. Abhimaan has trusted me a lot. I can do this. Yes, Samantha, you can definitely do this", I repeated to myself.
Soon I wore the dress as I roamed my hands around my body. The front neck line is too much exposed and I don't like it. But I can do it for Abhimaan.
I heard a knock on the door as I turned around when Sheetal walked inside, "Perfect", she clapped her hands looking at me. "Samantha, let's do your makeup now", she said as she started applying makeup on my face.
I took a glimpse of my face and it wasn't how I wanted it. There was so much glitter above my eyes and my face was covered with layers of makeup that it made me look unrecognisable. "Sheetal, it's too much makeup. I mean the eyes look over dramatic with the glitters", I said.
"Samantha, you are too much. It's all fine. Now wear these heels", she said as I looked at the heels. It was way too long than my normal heels.
God, please help me.
"Itne bade heels?", I gasped.
"Samantha....", she said annoyingly.
"I mean I won't be able to walk in these", I tried to explain her.
"It's all fine. Just wear these", she said and started making me wear those heels. She slid it forcefully in my foot, "Wait, Sheetal. I think it's not of my size", I said but she didn't listen and kept sliding the heels.
"Sheetal, wait. It's very uncomfortable", she ignored my words when I shivered with a roaring voice in the room.
"Ms. Sheetal....", Abhimaan's voice echoed, as usual.
Sheetal shivered back in fear and she stepped back from her position, "Sir, actually Samantha is very new to this and I was trying to make her comfortable", she replied back.
"Sir, she has to do that anyways. And it's her first time so...."
"Meri biwi aisa koi kaam nahi karegi jisme woh comfortable naa ho", he said authoritatively.
"But Sir, everything has already been arranged. She can't refuse it now. She has to dress up like this", Sheetal reasoned back.
"Ms. Sheetal, I don't like repeating myself. And to be very clear, my wife is doing this because she is the right fit for this job. Because she is beautiful the way she is, the beauty inside her makes her more presentable and not any dress which she is uncomfortable on wearing", Abhimaan said sternly and tears started welled up inside my eyes.
"I'm sorry, Sir. I'm sorry, Samantha", Sheetal said, her eyes facing the floor as Abhimaan gestured her to walk off.
He closed the door behind her and came to me while I looked at him with teary eyes, "Main tumhe humesha let down kar deti hu, Abhimaan. I'm so sorry", tears started flowing down my cheeks.
"You are my pride, Samantha. Aur tumhari comfort ke aage kuch nahi", he said turning me around to face the mirror while he made me sit on the chair. I looked at him from the mirror as he opened a box kept behind us. He took a silver pearl cape from it, shifted back my hair and made me wear it on my neck.
He placed my hair back on its place and adjusted the cape as it covered the exposing part of my body and it looked so elegant. He also made me wear the designer jewellery. Then he handed me the wipes, "Do your makeup the way you want, Samantha", he said as I looked at him with emotions filled eyes. He it too much a woman can have. And I'm blessed.
"Before that, say bye to these tears", he said wiping off my tears like everytime.
I cleaned up my face and re applied my makeup. I did a natural makeup just the way I like it and removed the glitter from my eyes. Abhimaan kept looking at me while I did my makeup, "Abhimaan...."
"Ji...."
"Tum mujhe humesha kaise samjh jaate ho?", I asked softly.
"Kyu ki tum mere liye uljhi hui nahi ho", he said kissing on my cheeks softly. I blushed back at his remark and he bent down and removed my heels changing it into a comfortable one.
"Kaisi lag rahi hu?", I asked nervously.
"Bilkul meri", he replied kissing on my forehead.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, revealing the new face of Malhotra Group of Industries, none other than our Finance Analyst and the lady boss of the Company, Mrs. Samantha Singh Malhotra....", and the spotlights shifted to me as I faced the audience.
I took a deep breath, keeping my hands on my waist, I looked up to face the audience and saw Abhimaan sitting there with a proud smile on his face.
"You are my pride, Samantha", his voice echoed inside me leaving a soft smile on my face. And with everything holding me back, I started taking slow steps. Within a fraction of seconds, my double thoughts turned into a confidence and I walked with my heads high. I was wearing a diamond earrings and a bracelet so I showcased each one of it and I heard people clapping around.
The camera turned to me as I faced it when they started taking pictures. For the whole time, I wore my smile and before walking off, I looked at Abhimaan and we shared a genuine smile to each other. I flipped back my hair before I left the ramp carrying the same confidence.
Then I changed my dress into an Indian saree to showcase the neck piece, bangles and earrings of Indian designs. Soon the show ended and I changed into a silver gown. Everyone congratulated me but my eyes kept searching for Abhimaan. I found him from the crowd and ran straight to him. I took no moment and I hugged him tightly and he hugged me back too. "Thank you, Abhimaan....", I said breaking the hug.
"My wife did a great job today, see there", he said while I chased the direction he was pointing at and found the crowd gathered looking at the jewellery design which I wore.
"Look, she is looking adorable", I heard someone saying.
"She has done a great job...."
"She has done justice to these beautiful designs...."
"She deserved to be the face of this Company...."
"She is so confident...."
My eyes welled up in tears when I heard them appreciating me. "This is the magic you carry within yourself, Samantha", Abhimaan said softly when I looked at him with teary eyes.
"Thank you for giving me this opportunity, Abhimaan. Thank you for showing trust in me", I said smiling back at him

Abhimaan
Her smile says it all. The claps say it all. The crowd say it all. Our Launch Day was a huge success and the only reason is Samantha. I mean the way she did justice to each jewellery design, I bet nobody could ever do that. I knew it, I trust her potential and this is it. She is an actual pride to me. There is something about her that people connect so easily like she is a person of heart and that is very visible in her smile.
I couldn't take my eyes off her when she walked on the stage and God, I tell you, the moment she looked at me, I was home. She was looking mesmerizing with the smile and confidence she was carrying within herself. It's been more than one month since she is working as a Finance Analyst and even the shareholders are impressed by her work.
Today is our after party as the launch was a huge success. Our brand is going viral like crazy so it's a token of appreciation we are giving it to all the team members of our Company for doing so much effort and making it a real success .
"Where is Samantha?", I asked Ruhaan. She is taking longer than usual to get ready.
"Sabr kar le bhai, sabr ka fal Samantha hoti hai", he chuckled when I glared him back to shut his mouth.
I looked at my watch and then at the at the staircase when my breath got hitched looking at the sight in front of me. Samantha was wearing a red coloured saree and she was looking breathtaking in it. Her lashes curled up, a natural makeup on her face, her lips more red than usual meanwhile her straight hair falling down her back and soft strands of her hair falling down her face as she descended the stairs.
"Saans le le bhai warna oxygen chadhani pad jayegi....", Ruhaan chuckled and walked off when I released a soft breath which I didn't realise that I was holding it back.
Samantha stood in front of me with a soft smile on her face, "Mr. Malhotra....", she knocked me out of my thoughts.
"Huh....", I said while she gave a questioning look.
"Mr. Malhotra?"
"Yes...yes.... Samantha"
"Kuch hua hai kya?", she asked in confusion. My heart raced faster while I failed to take my eyes off her.
"Haa, hua hai naa....", I kept staring at her but my mouth did the job to speak whatever my heart was feeling like.
"Kya hua hai, Abhimaan....?", she raised her eyebrows.
"Wahi jo nahi hona chahiye tha, Samantha....", trust me, it wasn't me, it was my mouth to say that.
