CHAPTER 25
HIS DESTINATED ONE

3 YEARS LATER...
Leo was hearing his mom talk about his own wedding.
"And let me tell you, I laughed my ass off when your grandpa chased your dad with a stick when he told us he wants me to wear a dress otherwise he won't marry me."
"But you caved in at the last, right mom?"
"What can I do? Your dad can be quite persuasive. He offered to be my slave for a whole week if I wore a dress. And the offer was too tempting so yeah, I had to cave in at the end."
"Can you stop telling him all this?" Asked Leo's dad.
"Oh, hell no. I am having way too much fun. And Leo there was this one time, where your dad reserved the whole mall, just because a creep stared at me."
"Well, I had to. I don't like sharing what's mine." Leo's dad said as he kissed his mom's neck.
"Leo did you know, your mom burnt the whole house one time." Leo's dad said.
"What?" Leo asked shocked.
"No, I did not." Leo's mom defended.
"Oh please, you certainly did. There was one time where your mom wanted to bake a cake for my birthday but ended up burning the whole house down." Leo's dad said laughing.
"No, I did not, you are lyin---" Leo's attention shifted to his phone when it rang. It was Oliver.
'What?'
'He is awake.' That was all it took for Leo to stand up immediately which startled his still arguing parents.
'I am on my way.' He cut the call.
"What happened son?" Asked his dad.
"He is awake dad." Leo all but ran.

Leo barged into the room. A man was sitting on the hospital bed, pale as a ghost, making Leo think whether this was all a dream. Near him was Oliver, his face swollen, indicating he had cried. Leo slowly went near that man who was watching his every movement closely.
"I'll leave you guys alone." Oliver said out loud and whispered to Leo, "We need to talk." and made his way out.
Leo sat on the bed, near the man, a tear slipping from his left eye. But he didn't bother to wipe it.
"Noah" Leo all but whispered. The am perked up at his name. Leo didn't know what to do at all. He has imagined this scenario more than thousand times in his head for the past three years. But its finally happening he doesn't know what to do at all.
Noah raised his hand to gently wipe the tear. Before he can retreat his hand, Leo cupped his hands and gently kissed it.
"I am sorry I couldn't protect you; I am sorry I was late. I am sorry, it was all my fault. I am really sorry. Please forgive." Noah shook his head as a no sign and raised his other hand to cup Leo's other cheek and leaned in to place their foreheads together.
Leo kissed his forehead and pulled away.
*Leo it was just an accident. It wasn't your fault at all. * Noah signed.
(AN- * * means they are signing.)
"What do you mean?" Leo asked raising his eyebrow.
*Yeah, it was a car accident, right? The last thing I remember is returning from your apartment. After that I don't remember anything at all. Oliver said that I had an accident on the way. * Noah explained. Xavier knocked on the door.
"Leo, Sam wants to talk to you." Xavier said.
"I will be right back." He told Noah who just nodded.

"Sam why doesn't he remember anything?" Leo asked first.
"I see you found out. I was just going to tell you. When someone experience something too terrible for their body and mind, their brain will block the memory of those events. It's a type of defense mechanism. It's called Repression. And in Noah's case, he doesn't remember anything after he returned home that day when Oliver told him he can't meet you again."
"Can his memories never return?" Oliver asked.
"They can when they are triggered. But we can't be sure." Sam explained.
"Are you going to tell him? " Xavier asked Leo.
"No. It will be too painful for him. If he remembers them by himself, I will be there to support and comfort him. But I don't want to tell him what happened. For him, it was just a car accident." Leo said nodding at Oliver who nodded in return.
"If that's all then I am going back." Leo went back to Noah.

A WEEK LATER
Noah was living with Leo after he was discharged 4 days ago. Noah was still getting used to his new bedroom as he lied their staring at the celling. A knock startled him. He went and opened the door only to find Leo's mother.
"I heard you skipped lunch, again." He spoke. Noah just made a cute pleading face.
"No, it won't work on me this time. Here I made your favorite pasta. Eat it, even just a little." He said patting Noah's head. Noah just nodded and opened the door wider for him to come in.
"Are you comfortable here?" He asked after some time. Noah just nodded and smiled genuinely.
"Good. If you find anything uncomfortable, even if its my son, tell me right away. Okay?" Noah just laughed quietly and nodded.
"Finish your food, I will be back to collect the tray." He said and left.

That evening when Noah was staring out the window someone back hugged him. He didn't even flinch as he knew who was behind him. He knew no one else would dare to touch him as long as he is here, with his not so official boyfriend.
"I missed you" Leo kissed his neck. Noah turned around and pecked Leo on the nose.
"Noah, I---
Honestly ever since I was a kid, I always envied my parents for what they have, their love for each other. I have always wanted one for myself, someone to call Mine. After meeting you, the desire only intensified, the desire to be near you, the desire to protect you, the desire to call you Mine.
Noah, I-- I-- I love you.
These three years away from you made me realize how much you mean to me, how much I love you and how I can't live without you.
Noah, will you give me a chance to call you Mine and be my boyfriend?
I love you and I can't imagine a life without you. So please accept me as YOURS and be only MINE??" Leo asked as he pulled out a ring.
Noah was full crying at this point. He just nodded and hugged Leo as tight as he can. Leo pulled away and slipped the ring in his finger. Leo pulled Noah in and kissed his passionately but gently at the same time.
" I love you" Leo whispered against Noah's lips smiling like an idiot.
"---I-- L--LO-LOVE Y-YOU T-T-TOO" A whisper was heard in the air. Leo looked at Noah wide eyed.
"You don't even realize how happy you make me." Leo kissed Noah again.
Noah then only realized that he too can't live without Leo. Leo was His, his love, his paradise, his heaven, his safety and his Saviour but mostly importantly his Home...
