Chapter 409
Tattooed Luna Novel
Chapter 0409 âIâll do anything within reason to make sure they live. I gave them a choice. Everyone, including Kara agreed to it. I didnât force them. They chose this in their own free will. I wonât lie and say this didnât work out in my favor but there isnât much negative outcome for me.â
âIf Zac does, I die.â Cassie clarified.
âZac isnât in anymore danger than he was yesterday. I just allowed him to keep doing things his way. Not that I agree with his way but regardless.â
âYou can hate this but this is our reality. Our options werenât great. You girls can keep arguing but that isnât going to change it. If you look at it objectively, this was the best option.â Alec put his hands on the desk. He was done listening to the arguing.
âSince we were not part of the decision making, I believe I have every right to be included. I am an Alpha after all.â Penny said.
âThen act like it.â Alec narrowed his eyes at Penny.
âOkay. I think itâs time for us to go.â Ice said and stepped between us. âFighting each other isnât a good idea. Emotions are high and I think. we need to take a break.â Ice walked over and took Alec by the arm. Unlocking the office, Alec, Ice and Jasper all headed to their car.
âCassie, please give us some privacy.â I said and looked at her.
âYes, Alpha.â She out her hand on Penny and walked out. Jacob closed the door behind him.
âI should have been included. You had no right to decide that without me.â
âYou havenât wanted to act like an Alpha! Did you not ask me to keep and this wasnât directly about you.âI could feel myself getting angry.
âI came back and said I wanted to know!â Penny put her hands on her hips.
âYou canât do this. You either need to be fully involved or you need to trust that I can make decisions that will benefit the pack.
Just because you disagree with this decision doesnât mean you get to start questioning my ability to do this job.â My hands slammed on my desk as I stood up.
âOkay...â Jacob stepped in. âColt, letâs go for a walk.â
Jacob was right. We needed some space. Walking right past Penny, out the office door and into the world around me. âF uck!â I growled as my feet stomped down the steps of the porch. âOver here.â Jacob pulled me to the gazebo in the middle of the garden.
âWhy?â
âWe need to talk.â Jacob said, firmly âI donât want to talk about Penny.â I said stubbornly as I watched Jacob sit on the bench.
âI donât either.â He shrugged and nodded towards the bench in fron of him.
âThen what?â I asked but didnât move to the bench.
âSherry.â
âWhat about her?â Sighing, I sat down on the bench and leaned back. My arms were draped over the back, waiting to hear his decision.
âI think Iâm ready to move on.â
âOkay.â I said and shrugged. I knew he would, just a matter of time.
âOnly because I donât really have another option. I canât believe she was mates to him but I knew she had a past and it was hard.
I really want to know what has become to Tanya.â
âNothing. She is still in the cells at Alecâs pack.â
âSherry wants to confront her. The final straw to out the past behind her.â Jacob more told than asked.
âYou think thatâs a good idea?â
âI donât see how it could get worse. Nothing is good about this but. maybe it will allow Sherry to heal. Seeing her really brought up negative emotions and she is back to not wanting to be touched.â
âWhat are you wanting from me?â I asked, unsure of what he was really asking. âwe both know you didnât need to ask this.â
âI... I donât feel Sherry should be in position of power here.â Jacob jumped up and started pacing. âThere, I said it.â He tossed his arms up in frustration.
