Chapter 101
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
As soon as the words left his mouth, Marcus regretted it. This woman didnât trust him at all, and didnât want to tell him in the first
place. He shouldnât have said that.
Sure enough, he heard Millie snort before she said, âI donât care if you believe me.
Just know that | refuse to suffer that without paying back. Sheâs going to pay for what she did.â
As she spoke, Millie glanced over at Rhea whose face was set in a deep frown not far away.
Rhea hadn't stopped staring at Marcus and Millie.
âHow on earth did she get out? We locked the door properly, didnât we?â
âWe did. Maybe someone opened the door for her.â
Rhea gritted her teeth and walked towards the object of her jealousy, wishing she could just kill her and get her out of the way.
Her jealousy only increased when she got closer and saw just how close Millie and Marcus were.
âMarcus, what are you talking about?â ©
Marcus replied coldly, âWhat did you do? How can you play games at grandmaâs birthday party? Does it mean nothing to you?â
Rhea glared angrily at Millie and feigned innocence before Marcus.
âWhat are you talking about? Iâve been here all along.â
Seeing that Marcusâ expression wasnât changing but was becoming harder, his lips set in a thin line, Rhea realized that he must
have believed whatever Millie told him. She had to tum the situation around quickly.
âMillie, what have you done again, you vicious woman? You must have spouted lies about me, right?â Then, she looked at
Marcus and pleaded, âMarcus, you canât let her deceive you. Sheâs just a liar.â ©
Millie glanced at the cut on her hand, her anger fuelling. Then, she held the cake up to Marcus and asked, âWill you eat the
cake?â
â| donât like desserts,â he answered curtly, his face contorting in disgust at the sweet cake.
Before the words were completely out of his mouth, Millie threw the piece of cake in Rheaâs face.
âYou bitch! Are you crazy? Why did you do that?â Rhea was hysterical.
âWhy? Why?â Millie chuckled dryly and continued, âWell, letâs see... Iâm rewarding you for locking me up in the lounge, and for all
the other things youâve been throwing at me this evening. Iâm not a defenceless lady. Clearly, you donât get tired of those tricks,
but Iâve had more than enough.â
âMarcus, help me! Millie is so mean! You saw it with your own eyes, right? She threw the cake in my face on purpose.â
Rhea hurried over to Marcus and reached for his arm. However, when some frosting got on his cuff, he abruptly took a step back
in disgust.
