Chapter 119
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Ina secluded corner of the banquet hall, Rhea drowned her sorrows in alcohol.
She regretted pushing Millie into the pond. That was going to be the perfect way to embarrass and ostracize Millie, but she
ended up revealing Millieâs true face.
She felt like she had taken a gun and shot a bullet into her own head.
Looking through the window of the car, Millie realized that they were taking a strange path. âThis isnât the way home,â she said,
looking at the man in the driverâs seat.
Marcus didnât give her an answer.
He looked at the time on his wristwatch and said curtly, âWe still have some time.
We'll stop somewhere first.â
Not long after, the car stopped in front of a bar and Marcus got out.
Millie followed after him, looking at the bright entrance of the bar. She didnât think he would be taking her to such a noisy place.
She followed Marcus to the door of a box. As he went in, Millie stopped him and said, âI need to use the bathroom first.â
Marcus just went in without saying a word.
Millie finished in the bathroom and walked towards the private box. At the door, she overheard an ongoing conversation.
âAren't you supposed to be celebrating the your grandmotherâs birthday tonight?
Why did you come here to play?â It was Delmorâs voice.
âThe party is over.â
âThen why did you come here instead of going home? Oh, donât answer that. It must be because you canât stand your ugly wife.
It's better to have some fun here first, huh?â
Delmor chuckled and continued, âI understand you. If | were forced to marry someone as ugly as your wife, | donât know how |
would handle it. Itâs true that ugly ducklings like her deserve some sympathy, but | just canât bear to look at them.â
Millie raised her eyebrows.
As ugly as his wife, huh?
She pushed the door open and walked in. Delmor who was backing the door, didnât realize she had walked in and continued,
âDude, how donât you have nightmares at night with her by your side? Or do you?â
Mylo was the first to notice Millieâs presence.
He started coughing to stop Delmor, but the man didnât understand.
