Chapter 1236
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
âMy mom planted so many melons. We canât finish it all. Some even got rotten before we harvested it.
You have to take it,â Roland explained before Millie could have a chance to refuse. He knew that she
didnât like taking things for free.
âWell, thank you. Actually, Iâm a little thirsty. Iâll cut one now.â
With a smile, Millie went into the room with a sweet melon in her arms. She cut it into pieces and put
them on the stone stool.
âLetâs eat together.â
Roland nodded and took a piece of melon to eat.
Millie also brought a piece to her mouth and ate it gracefully. The sweet melon juice exploded in her
mouth. It was really good for the summer heat.
Roland looked at her and asked, âHave you ever met my sister in Preagend?â
Millie thought of the time when she met Laurel at Snow Mountain Villa in Preagend. She didnât see her
after that.
Angelaâs Library
âI met her once, but it was long ago.â
Roland looked worried.
âI donât know if sheâs with Patrick or not. She doesnât answer my calls anymore. Perhaps itâs because
she now has two biological brothers in the Morgan family. They are both rich and handsome. Why
would she still think of a countryside brother like me?â
Millie frowned. Was it the Patrick she knew? And wasnât Laurelâs boyfriend Aron?
âPatrick? Doesnât your sister have a boyfriend?â Millie asked.
âYes, Patrick. Itâs the man who came to the agricultural station last time. She had a crush on him from
the first time she met him. When her ex-boyfriend dumped her last time, she was so angry that she
didnât eat anything for three days.â
Millie was stunned. It was indeed the Patrick she knew.
Millieâs phone suddenly rang. She put down the melon and stood up.
âLet me get this call,â she said and ran into the room.
Marcus called Millie now that he was much calmer.
âHoney,â Millie said into the phone.
Her voice brought Marcus a sort of peace he needed.
âAre you busy now?â
Millie walked to a chair in the corner and sat down. She thumped her sore shoulder and said, âNo. I just
finished harvesting corn for two hours. Iâm tired and feeling heat.â
Her tone was full of pride.
âCorn?â
