Chapter 1272
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
âWhat happened?â Roland asked when he came to the hospital half an hour later.
Millie pressed her finger to her lips to make him stay quiet. Then, she dropped what she was doing and
took him outside, âI need a favour. Do you think you can find some strong men to guard my grandma at
all times?â
Roland arched an eyebrow.
âWhy? Does someone want to hurt her again?â
Millie nodded.
âNot long ago, someone came in and tried to harm her.
Fortunately, he was stopped in time, but it can happen again. So, can you help me?â
âDamn it! If I meet those bastards, I will kick their asses. Donât worry. Iâll find good guards right away.â
Millie smiled gratefully.
âThank you very much. If you need any help in the future, please tell me. Iâll do everything I can to help
you.â
Roland brushed it off with a wave of his hand and said, âThereâs no need for that. I bullied you when I
was a kid. Letâs just say Iâm making up for it.â
Millie was touched by his words and attention. Who would have thought that she and Roland would
ever be friends?
After a while, Rolandâs face folded into a frown.
âYou havenât told me why you need someone else to protect your grandmother. Are you going back to
Preagend?â
Millie nodded with a small smile.
Angelaâs Library
âOh, I see. Donât worry. Iâll take things in charge over here, and if anything happens to your grandma, Iâll
let you know right away.â
Millie returned to the ward after that and drew a portrait of Travis.
She was going to give it to Tobin to do some digging on the person, and perhaps find out if he was the
one that attacked her grandma.
In the villa of Preagend.
It was a cold night, yet Marcus sat in the courtyard with the yellow light shining on his cold and closed
off face.
The gate of the villa opened and Trentonâs car drove in. Before long, he had parked the car and was
walking to Marcus.
âMr. Thomas, Iâm from the police station. I just reported to them how Millie fainted.â
Marcus nodded slightly.
âThe police asked if you wanted them to hold Shera accountable.â
