Chapter 1338
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Through the phone, Millie picked up the sounds of a busy background, hinting that Marcus might be at
the ceremonyâs location.
The call ended with a beep.
Millie stepped out of the car.
âTake care, Ethan.â
Since her near fall from a cliffside after getting her License, Millie had been plagued by a deep-seated
fear of driving.

On the other side, Marcus stared at his phone in surprise. Millie had actually hung up on him.
But more importantly, why wasnât she jumping at the chance to be taught how to drive by him?
âMr. Thomas, everyone is here. The ground-breaking ceremony for Sun Primary School will begin
soon. Everyone is waiting for you,â Shera murmured as she walked closer to him.
Marcus nodded and pocketed his phone. Then he turned around and walked towards the venue.
But Shera didnât immediately follow him. She watched him go, her jaw tense. She had eavesdropped
on Marcusâ phone conversation with Millie, and she was very jealous of his caring attitude towards
Millie. She was also jealous of the bossy tone he used when talking to her.
That bossy tone was another way through which he expressed his love.
Shera was so consumed by her jealousy and hatred that she knew she wouldnât be able to think
straight until she vented some of her frustration. So she took out her phone and sent a vicious
message to Millie.
It read, âMillie, are you that horny? Unlike you, Marcus is very busy. Donât call him for something trivial.
If you really need a man, you can go to a bar to find one. Iâm sure they will have plenty of time to keep
you company.â
Millie had just stepped out of the elevator when she received the text message. The moment she read
it, her eyes lit up with fury.
She was horny?
Shera was the horny one, always cooking up schemes just to get close to her husband Marcus. And
now Shera had the nerve to accuse her, his real wife.
Millie was so livid that she put her hands on her waist and feverishly wished that Shera was in front of
her so that she could give her a piece of her mind.
Lately, Millie got easily irritated by Sheraâs actions. She became so riled up that her heart almost
exploded from the force of her anger.
At this moment, two of her colleagues walked by, talking amongst themselves.
âYou have very dark circles under your eyes. Didnât you get enough sleep last night?â
âUgh. Donât even remind me. I donât know why anyone would be so wicked and do something so mean
to me. They would call me and hang up the phone. Then a few seconds later, the phone will start
ringing again. It was like that the whole night. Incessant, non-stop ringing, and they always hang up
when I pick the call. I almost had a nervous breakdown, Even now, I can still hear the ringing in my
head.â
The other colleague chuckled.
âSorry. I think you must have offended someone and the person is now trying to mess with you. Iâve
heard of this app called Call Again, and it does exactly what you just described. It keeps calling.â
âRight. After the calls, I searched online and also came across that app. Well, now I know how I will
punish anyone who messes with me.
