Chapter 252
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Seeing Marcusâ disbelief, Millie pushed him away angrily and placed the pen in his hand.
âInspect your pen. Itâs not damaged.â
Marcus took the pen, placed it on the table, and shifted his gaze back to Millie.
âYou seem so scared of me making a claim. Itâs just a pen. Even if you broke it, so what? At most, | could make you...â As
Marcus leaned over, Millie felt his lips were going to touch her ear. She was stuck and had no means of escaping.
âWhat would you make me do?â
âGuess? You're supposed to be smart.â Marcusâ eyes, filled with wanton desire, made her feel like she was being undressed,
leaving her feeling uncomfortable.
Millie rolled her eyes, a horrifying thought crossing her mind.
âSleep with me? Over my dead body!â
Marcus eyed Millieâs heated expression.
âNo, it would be me filing for divorce. | donât need a wife who spends money like water.â
With a distasteful expression, Marcus added, âAlright, rise quickly. As comfortable as it is to have you on my lap, | canât let you sit
there forever.â
In the following moment, Marcus lifted Millie and tossed her aside.
Feeling embarrassed and angry, Millie reacted to the situation.
She grabbed her tools and stormed out with frustration.
Eventually, she left. Marcus clenched his fists, gazed at his vital components, and reclined on the leather chair.
The following morning, Millie was up and about before sunrise. This was due to Celesteâs orders to tend to the garden plants.
Armed with heavy gardening shears, Millie promptly started her task, hoping to finish in time to keep her work schedule.
Seeing her working briskly and diligently, the gardener commented, âMrs. Thomas, please take it easy. We wouldnât want you to
injure yourself.â
Wiping the sweat off her forehead, Millie reassured the gardener with a smile, âIâm alright.â
About thirty minutes into her task, Marcus appeared from within the house, donned in a lavish casual suit, a fishing rod in hand.
He strolled towards the nearby lotus pond.
Millie found it peculiar to see him going fishing at such an early hour.
Suddenly, she heard a camera shutter click. She quickly lifted her gaze to find out who was taking pictures.
