Chapter 343
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Chapter: 343
Unable to stand the mess, Millie began organizing the papers and then carefully wiped off the table with a rag.
The two men watched as she cleaned the table. Millie did not care anymore about the strange man. She just wanted to go to bed
now.
Once the smooth surface of the table was finally visible, she turned to leave the study.
She had already arrived at the door when Harlan rubbed his stomach with a grimace and said, â| havenât had dinner yet. Ask
your chef to make me something to eat, Marcus.â
Millie froze momentarily, tumed around, and looked at Harlan with wide eyes. He had not had dinner yet? The cook had already
turned in for the night, though.
âEveryone has gone to bed,â Marcus muttered.
âYeah, but sheâs still awake.â
Still looking at Marcus, Harlan pointed at Millie.
âlm a guest here. You have to feed me. Donât worry. Iâm not a picky eater.â
Judging from the scar on his arm, it was clear that the man had seen some difficult times. He still looked dangerous to Millie,
though.
A few seconds later, Marcus tumed his head in Millieâs direction and instructed, âMake him something to eat.â
Millie scowled. She was given yet another chore to do. She replied snappishly, âIâm not the chef.â
She was tired. She had no energy left to cook.
Harlan snapped his gaze at Millie, taken aback by her rude response.
âYour maid has a bad temper. | havenât met a servant so rude before.â
Millie was dressed like a servant, which led Harlan to assume that she was one.
Marcusâ ebony eyes deepened in hue, and he said in a cold tone, âJust whip up something simple.â
Millie pressed her lips together and walked out of the room. The clock on the wall showed that it was already one in the morning,
but she could not go to bed yet since she still had to cook. Brilliant. Just freaking perfect.
She reluctantly made her way to the kitchen. After washing her hands, she went to open the refrigerator. It contained a lot of
ingredients, but her eyes zoomed in on a pack of uncooked noodles. She then remembered that noodle dishes were easy to
prepare and required little effort.
After deciding to make tomato and egg noodle soup, she grabbed the necessary ingredients from the refrigerator. Next, she
washed and chopped the vegetables, prepared the seasonings, and then boiled some water. Soon, the smoke from the pot
warmed the brisk air in the kitchen.
Marcus walked into the kitchen when Millie was frying the eggs. She looked up when she heard his footsteps but immediately
looked away. She was still upset at him.
The man studied her sulky expression before turning his attention to the boiling water in the pot.
