Chapter 418
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Chapter: 418
Nancy had finally completed her design.
Inside the meeting room, Derek was presenting work to Marcus when Nancy knocked on the door gently.
âMr. Thomas, Iâve finished my design,â she announced.
Derek's report was interrupted.
âCome on in,â Marcus instructed.
Upon entering the room, Nancy handed her design to Marcus. The pattern was intricate and delicate, appearing to be a
masterful creation at a glance.
Nancy nervously studied Marcusâ face as he examined her work.
It had taken her a long time to finish, and she had confidently anticipated surprise and praise from Marcus.
However, she noticed Marcusâ frown as he looked at her design.
âMr. Thomas, is there something wrong with my work?â she inquired, her voice tinged with anxiety.
Marcus looked up and reassured her, âNo problem at all. Youâve done well.â
Though Nancyâs design was indeed outstanding, Marcusâ thoughts were elsewhere, preoccupied with Millie and her perceived
lack of progress.
Receiving Marcusâ approval, Nancy relaxed. âI've carefully prepared this work, aiming to meet the expectations of both you and
the Thomas Group. Iâve put a lot of effort into it.â
âThank you,â Marcus said, setting her work aside. âYou can go back and rest now.â
Nancy left the room, her face glowing with self-satisfaction. This time, she intended to outshine Millie and prove her superiority.
In her opinion, Millie was a fool for daring to compare designs with her.
Meanwhile, Marcus handed the design to Derek after a moment of contemplation.
âPass this along to the production department.â
Derek accepted the work, and stared at the patterns with admiration.
âMr. Thomas, Nancyâs work is exceptional. She seems more dedicated to her design than ever. It seems sheâs taken this
competition with Mrs. Thomas quite seriously.â
The idea of Mrs. Thomas barking like a dog was ludicrous, and should it happen, Mr. Thomas would face humiliation.
Marcus tapped on the table before moving to the window, his expression serious.
