Chapter 49
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Chapter: 49
âHow dare you glare at me, you bitch? You two, make her drink. Iâm going to kill her,â Harvey hissed, angered by Graceâs
audacity to talk back at him.
Immediately, two bodyguards dragged Grace away from Millie, forced her mouth open, and poured alcohol down her throat.
Millieâs pulse quickened with rage. The people in the room were a vile bunch of scum. She ran toward the man closest to Grace
and swatted the glass of alcohol away from his hand. She then slammed a wad of cash on the coffee table.
â| donât care if you want this money or not. | wonât let you punish her for something that isnât even her fault. I'm taking her with
me.
Millie pulled Grace to the door, but the bodyguards blocked their way.
Harvey suddenly clapped his hands.
âYou have a lot of guts, woman. | donât know what you look like because you're wearing a mask, but | can tell that you have quite
a temper. Letâs make a deal, shall we? Iâll let your friend go.â
Millie looked at the sly smile on his face suspiciously.
âIf you're really going to let us go, tell your men to step aside.â
Harveyâs smirk widened.
âLet me finish what Iâm going to say first. Iâm going to let your friend go, but you have to stay here and finish all the drinks on the
table.â
Millieâs stomach dropped as she took in the bottles of alcohol on the table. There was no way she could drink all of it. Her alcohol
tolerance was terrible. In fact, she was known for being a lightweight.
Grace immediately stepped forward to protest. She knew that Millie had zero tolerance for alcohol. She only called her friend
earlier because she panicked. She did not mean to get her into trouble.
âNo, Millie wonât drink anything. What happened was my fault, so donât get her involved in this.â
Harvey clicked his tongue in annoyance before raising his hand for a strike.
For the second time, Grace received a slap on the face.
â| told you to lick my shoes earlier, but you didnât. Then, when | said I'd let you go, you protested. You're really testing my
patience, you bitch. | donât always show mercy to anyone, you know? So, you'd better shut the fuck up when Iâm not talking to
you.â
âGrace.â
Millie nervously looked at Graceâs swollen face before turning to scowl ferociously at
Harvey. She really wished she could maim him right now; the man was like cancer in society. However, she could not do that
because she was weak and alone.
âWhat are you still standing there for, woman? | told you to drink!â Those in close proximity to Harvey could smell the alcoholic
stench on his breath as he spoke.
After a few seconds of silence, Millie sighed.
