Chapter 51
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Chapter: 51
She ran her fingers down its rim and studied the roomâs illumination stealthily. She was waiting for the bright light that flashed in
the room every fifteen seconds.
As soon as she saw it coming, she immediately removed her mask.
âEveryone, watch closely. Iâm going to drink now,â Millie declared. Tilting her head back, she downed the drink in one go.
Suddenly, a bright light emanated from her face, giving her an eerie appearance, and the room took on an eerie atmosphere.
With a quiver in his voice, one of the men asked, âWhat did | just see? Did you all see that too?â
Everyone in the room had perplexed looks on their faces.
Just now, when the bright light fell on Millieâs face, they purposefully widened their eyes, expecting to see a beautiful woman.
Instead of that, however, they were confronted with a terrible visage. Millie's scars, which covered her entire face, were a web of
red and black lines. When her dark lips parted to expose a gaping mouth, she looked like a demonic monster.
They did not know a human could look so terrifying.
Someone tremblingly asked, âWhat we just saw... Was it a ghost? Or... A person?â
No one responded; they were all still in a state of shock.
Harvey wiped the sweat off his forehead and said in a rather level-headed manner,
âshut up. Of course, itâs a person. Thereâs no ghost here. This woman is just really ugly.â
Millie walked over to Harvey with a glass of alcohol in her hand.
âMr. Deleon is right. Iâm definitely a human. Thereâs no such thing as ghosts in this world. | only look like this because | was
disfigured when | was young. Come on, Mr. Deleon. Let's have a toast. Itâs not fun to drink alone.â
As Millie drew closer to Harvey, her appearance got even more menacing. Suddenly, his eyes widened as a wave of nausea
washed over him.
Asecond later, Harvey let out an audible retch and vomited.
He had never seen someone so hideous as Millie.
âGet lost, you ugly freak!â Harvey spat.
The othersâ stomachs chumed, and a nauseous feeling overtook them from the combination of alcohol and Millieâs repulsive
appearance.
âUgh!â They clutched their stomachs and started throwing up.
Millie purposely stayed by Harveyâs side to make him feel even more uncomfortable.
He could not look at her anymore, though. He wiped his lips with the back of his hand and pushed her away.
