Chapter 56
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Chapter: 56
Mylo looked away and stammered, âWhat? Huh... | think you should just keep holding her, Mr. Thomas. You see, her face...
What Iâm saying is that a gentleman wouldn't touch a lady without her consent. And it is worse in this case, seeing as she is
drunk.â
Marcus gritted his teeth. That was just a stupid excuse. Mylo simply didnât want to be in contact with his ugly wife.
Marcus moved his gaze to Delmor who only gave him a sympathetic look, too scared to touch Millie as well.
âFine then!â Marcus grunted inwardly and took a deep breath. He pushed her away again. This time, she did move away a little.
But it wasnât for long. The next second, she was clinging to him like a koala.
Marcus tried to keep his anger in and looked at the clingy Millie.
âNow, tell me exactly what happened.â
âThey bullied my friend and forced me to drink...â Millie trailed off as she recalled this scene again. She released her hold on
Marcus, looked back and pounced mercilessly on Harvey. She punched and kicked him as hard as she could, not really bothered
by where her feet and fists hit him.
âYou bastard! How dare you bully my friend and make me drink, huh? | am the young lady of the Thomas family. Will you try
something like this again?â
Harvey clutched his head and aching body parts in agony, as Millie let her anger out.
He couldn't fight back. Not with Marcus present.
â| won't try anything anymore, | promise! Please spare me, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas. | had no idea what | was doing,â he begged for
mercy.
Marcus, Mylo and Delmor were all struck by Millieâs outburst and strength.
It seemed that she wasnât done with him. She grabbed his face and kicked him hard before stepping back, finally done.
âscum!â she spat out disgustingly.
Then, suddenly looking tired, she went back to Marcus and clung to him.
âHubby, let's go home. Iâm tired.â
Marcus raised his eyebrows. Of course she was tired. How would she not be after the amount of energy she just let out? This
woman was really something else. She mercilessly beat a man, then clung back to him, looking all innocent as if nothing had
happened.
Marcus glanced at Harveyâs bruised and swollen face. The man could count himself lucky. Because if he was to deal with him
personally, then he would be bedridden for a year.
Harvey gulped loudly, a shiver going through him when he saw the dangerous look in Marcusâ eyes. He fell to his knees and
begged profusely, âMr. Thomas, please spare me. This is all my fault. I'm sorry.â
After staring hard at him for a long while, Marcus calmed down.
He still had his drunk wife to take care of. The first step to doing that was getting her into the car.
