Chapter 634
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Rhea cast a glance in the direction Millie had gone, her lips bitten till they bled.
âHelp me up first, and fetch some medicine.â
Beside the lakeside, Millieâs fingers trailed through her hair, tousled by the breeze.
âHi, Millie.â Mylo approached.
Millie inclined her head slightly. Myloâs presence reeked of various womenâs perfumes, a testament to
his flirtations.
âWhatâs going on?â
Stepping back, Millie found the scent overpowering.
Upon her conclusion, Millie sensed a looming shadow enveloping her side.
When Marcus approached, his deep-set gaze unsettled Mylo.
âHey, ease up on the looks. I donât harbor any notions for her.â
With a wave in one direction, Mylo beckoned Brenna, who approached gracefully.
As Millieâs eyes locked onto Brennaâs, both women were momentarily frozen, their expressions marred
by simmering anger.
Mylo gently grasped Brennaâs slender waist and introduced, âThis is Millie, Marcusâ wife.â
Upon approaching and seeing Millie before her, particularly with Marcusâ commanding presence by her
side, Brennaââs anxiety heightened. She had manipulated the truth, fueled by Rheaâs money, and
tarnished Millieâs reputation.
She wondered if Millie was aware of her actions.
Noticing Brennaâs hesitation, Mylo offered encouragement, urging, âGo ahead, say hello. Donât be
nervous. Iâm here. I know you two have had some conflicts in the past. This is a chance to let it go.â
Brenna bit her lower lip, grappling with the challenge of voluntarily greeting someone she had once
belittled. She struggled to bring herself to do it.
Millie, however, seized on Myloâs words.
âWhy do you need to reassure her not to be afraid? Whatâs going on here?â Millie inquired.
Brenna was scared of her?
Seeing Millieâs puzzled expression, Brenna realized that Millie was oblivious to her previous words
against her. She swiftly sought to change the subject.
âMylo, letâs move somewhere else. Standing here is making me hot,â Brenna proposed.
