Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Chapter: 653
Millie, her face slightly flushed, struggled to maintain her composure as she tended to his wound.
Millie carefully unwrapped the bandage, revealing the wound which was severe and covered in blood.
The sight made her hold her breath; she could only imagine how painful it must be.
âIt looks really bad. You should consider going to the hospital,â Millie suggested while disinfecting the
wound.
âItâs alright. With this medicine, it should heal in a few days,â Marcus replied as he took the medicine
from her.
Although Millie attempted to persuade him, his stubbomness remained unchanged.
After applying the medicine to the wound, Millie cleaned up the discarded materials and disposed of
them.
When she came downstairs to throw away the trash, she encountered Leon, who was smoking under a
tree. He noticed her presence.
Curious, he asked, âWhy donât you stay in the villa and instead choose to live in this small apartment?â
Millie glanced at the cigarette in his hand and replied, âItâs more convenient to take care of my grandma
here.â
After a moment, she continued, âAre you really going to give up on Miss Rayne for Fiona?â
Millie felt that Leonâs decision was questionable.
In response, Leon sneered, âSo you also look down on her? Donât forget, youâre not of noble birth
either. Sheâs left with nothing now. Just like you had nothing before entering the Thomas family, except
for your grandmother.â
Startled by his aggression, Millie found herself apologizing, âIâm sorry, I shouldnât have said that.â
Walking away, Millieâs back was observed by Leon. He felt an odd sense of familiarity. What was
happening to him? Strangely, he had dreamed of Millie the night before.
âMillie.â
Millie glanced back, her eyes filled with a flicker of bewilderment.
Even Leon found himself briefly perplexed, questioning his own motivation for summoning her. It was
as if he had obeyed an impulse from within, letting the words spill out.
âIs something wrong?â Millie inquired without hesitation, noticing Leonâs continued silence.
âFionaâs feeling of stability is fragile. Letâs not cause any disruptions for her,â Leon advised.
Millie hesitated for a few moments. Was this intended as a reminder or a caution?
Yet the idea of needlessly causing trouble for Fiona seemed perplexing.
