Chapter 772
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
The more Millie heard, the more embarrassed she felt. She didnât react, but flipped the pages of her
book silently.
In his private office given by the administration, Marcus was having a video conference with some
people at work. After the meeting, he closed his eyes and leaned against the back of the chair with a
sigh.
The sound of Millieâs confiscated phone ringing snapped his eyes open.
He looked at the caller ID and once again saw that it was Leon.
He pursed his lips, hesitating between taking it or letting it ring. After a few seconds, he made up his
mind and pressed the answer button.
âYou said you were going to call me back when you got free.â
Leon had been waiting all morning for Millieâs call but his phone never rang.
âDo you need something from her?â
Marcusâ indifferent voice drifted to the other end of the line.
There was a momentary pause.
âIf itâs nothing urgent, then donât bother her,â Marcus said gruffly and hung up.
He stared at the way Millie had saved Leonâs name in her phone. She had typed âelder brotherâ next to
his name. Marcus huffed and turned off the screen.
Ten minutes later, there was a knock at the door.
âCome in.â
Millie pushed open the door and walked in. She was here for her phone.
But seeing that Marcusâ expression was still very cold and dark, she treaded carefully.
âI came to get my phone,â she said in a low voice.
Marcus narrowed his eyes and leaned back against the back of his leather chair.
âI may not be a professional teacher, and I may be your husband, but that doesnât give you the right to
play with your phone during class.â
Millie was already in a bad mood, but his attitude only irritated her more. It wasnât as though she
deliberately took out her phone to play with, and besides, she wasnât the only one using her phone in
class. She felt like he just singled her out to build his prestige.
Marcus stood up and approached her slowly.
âWhatâs with that look? Do you feel wronged now?â he asked.
