Chapter 934
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
Millie acknowledged with a nod.
In the afternoon, Emerieâs voice resonated through the phone, with urgency laced within her words.
âYour client is at the office, awaiting review of your revised work. Join us promptly.â
The clientâs visit?
Millie assessed her arm, then informed her, âI had obtained leave from Ms.
Astley.â
Undeterred, Emerie persisted, her insistence unyielding.
âDonât fret. The client is here specifically to consult with you. His faith in us is the reason he chose our
services. Rush to the office without delay.â

Biting her lower lip, Millie weighed her options. Though she had already revised the work, presenting
herself at the office with her allergy-stricken visage seemed an insurmountable hurdle.
After a brief contemplation, she seized her mask, shielding her face, and hastened to the company.
Within the reception area, her gaze fell upon Emerie and the client.
âMr. Scott, this is the lead designer for your daughterâs project, Millie.â
Emerie rose, casting a cursory glance at Millie before introducing her.
âNice to meet you, Mr. Scott. I apologize, but Iâve requested leave for today and wasnât aware of your
visit to the company. Hereâs the revised design.â
Millie nodded at Mr. Scott, producing the design draft and presenting it to him.
Mr. Scott accepted it, perusing the work with evident satisfaction.
âIâm genuinely pleased with the revisions. My daughter adores the pattern youâve crafted. Just one
note: Letâs go with white instead of pink. Thatâs her preference.â
His approval was palpable as he surveyed the work.
Millie breathed a sigh of relief, her gaze flickering toward Emerie, who exhibited a somewhat contrived
smile.
âGiven your contentment with the current design, weâll move forward with production. Mr. Scott, rest
assured, the final piece will meet and exceed your expectations.â
âIâm eagerly anticipating it.â Mr. Scott grinned, expressing his anticipation.
With that, they escorted Mr. Scott on his way.
âIâm heading back.â
