Chapter 38

NIAGARA FALLS-31♡

YEH LAMHA ✅

As the clock ticked away, Srishti sat perched on the edge of the bed, already dressed in her stunning outfit, perfectly coiffed hair, and minimal makeup. Her husband, Aahan, on the other hand, was still meandering around in his boxers, trying to decide on his attire for the day.

Srishti couldn't help but chuckle to herself as she thought about all the times her bhai and papa had made the joke about how long it takes women to get ready. But here she was, all ready for the last 15 minutes, while Aahan was still in his casuals.

As she spoke on video call chatting with her pregnant friend Sneha. Sneha's baby bump was prominent, and her face was glowing with the pregnancy radiance.

As they talked, Srishti suddenly felt a pair of hands wrap around her waist from behind, and she turned around to find her husband, Aahan, snuggling into her neck. Srishti was taken aback, but her friend Sneha let out a cough to let them know she was still on the call.

Aahan grinned at the camera, "Sneha, not now. We're on our honeymoon! Don't disturb us," he said with a wink, leaving both women in splits.

Some days ago Sneha had come to visit Srishti at her house, and as they sat down to chat, she noticed the bandage on Srishti's head. Concerned, Sneha asked what had happened, and Srishti told her everything about Isha's betrayal. Sneha already had a negative vibe about Isha, but as Srishti and Isha had been friends at the time, she had ignored her instincts.

Srishti had also told Sneha about Harsh and how he had helped them during the ordeal. Sneha couldn't help but joke, "Oh, so you already had a secret admirer?" but Srishti just brushed it off, knowing that Aahan was staring at them with a dark expression.

The conversation was a reminder that sometimes we ignore our instincts to keep peace or maintain a friendship, but it's crucial to trust our gut feelings, especially when it comes to people's character. It was a lesson that Srishti had learned the hard way, and she was grateful for the support of her loved ones, including Sneha and Harsh.

A mischievous grin spread across Aahan's face as he joked, "Now leave my jaan and let us enjoy our honeymoon." Sneha pouted, looking at them, and Srishti couldn't help but smile at the playful banter between her friend and her husband.

"Haha, okay, okay. She's all yours, kyu srishti," Sneha said, winking at Srishti. Srishti knew that her friend's mind was on overdrive since she had learned about their honeymoon plans. Sneha had even given her a crash course on honeymoon do's and don'ts, but Srishti had slept through most of it.

"What was that?" Aahan asked, looking confused like a child, but Srishti knew he was just teasing her like a mischievous wolf. She gave him an innocent look and shook her head, changing the topic. "Chalo, chalna nahi hai," she said, cutting the call.

They had a full day planned, starting with a visit to Niagara Falls

Srishti and Aahan arrived at Niagara Falls, mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the falls. The falls were roaring with water, and the mist rising up in the air added to the grandeur. Srishti was grateful to be experiencing this moment with Aahan by her side.

As they walked around the falls, taking in the views, Aahan pulled out his camera and started taking pictures of Srishti. "Hey, let's take a selfie!" Srishti said, grabbing his phone and holding it out in front of them. They posed, and as they took the photo, the wind picked up, sending Srishti's hair flying in all directions. Aahan couldn't help but laugh at the sight of her struggling to get her hair under control.

As they continued to explore the area, they found a secluded spot away from the crowds where they could sit and enjoy the view in peace. The sound of the water crashing down was deafening, but in the best way possible. They sat there, hand in hand, lost in their own thoughts.

Srishti finally broke the silence, "It's funny how something so beautiful and powerful can also be so peaceful."

Aahan nodded in agreement, "It's like the falls have their own way of soothing us, of reminding us that no matter how small we may feel, we are part of something so much bigger."

Srishti smiled, "You always have a way with words."

Aahan leaned over and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek, "I'm just saying what I feel, and right now, all I feel is grateful to be here with you."

Srishti leaned into his embrace, feeling grateful as well. They sat there for a while, watching the waterfalls and taking in the beauty of the surroundings.

As they left Niagara Falls, the sun had already started to set, casting a golden glow over everything around them. Srishti was lost in thought as she looked out the window, feeling grateful for this moment and the time spent with her beloved husband.

Their next destination was the famous CN Tower, and they were both excited to see the view from the top. When they finally arrived, they were awestruck by the beauty of the city below. They took the elevator to the observation deck, and as they stepped out, Srishti felt the wind in her hair and the cool breeze on her face.

Aahan held her hand tightly as they walked around, looking at the breathtaking view. Srishti felt a deep sense of peace and happiness in this moment, knowing that she was exactly where she was meant to be.

As they stood there, admiring the view, Aahan turned to Srishti and said, "I feel so lucky to have found you again after all these years. You are the best thing that ever happened to me."

Srishti smiled, feeling the warmth in her heart at his words. She knew how much he loved her, and she felt the same way about him.

They took several selfies, capturing the moment and the beautiful view. Srishti leaned her head on Aahan's shoulder, feeling his embrace around her. She felt safe and secure in his arms, knowing that he was always there for her.

At one point, they found themselves in the glass floor area of the tower, with nothing but a thin layer of glass separating them from the city below. Srishti was a little hesitant to step onto the glass, but Aahan held her hand tightly and reassured her.

"It's okay, Srishti. I'm right here with you. Trust me," he said, looking into her eyes with love and tenderness.

She took a deep breath and stepped onto the glass, feeling the world disappear beneath her feet. Aahan held her hand the entire time, never letting go. As they walked around the glass floor, they couldn't help but laugh at how silly they looked.

As the night fell and the city lit up, they went to the top of the tower and enjoyed a romantic dinner together. . They laughed at each other's jokes and teased each other playfully. Srishti felt grateful for this moment and the love they shared.

When they finally reached the ground floor, Aahan held her hand tightly again as they walked towards their car.

After their breathtaking visit to the CN Tower, Aahan and Srishti finally arrived at their last destination, Walmart.

But before heading there, they decided to freshen up and change into more comfortable clothes at home. Srishti put on Aahan's hoodie, and he was pleasantly surprised.

"That's mine!" he exclaimed, to which Srishti teasingly replied with a wink, "Then I guess I'm yours too." Aahan was caught off guard and his heart skipped a beat. "You're mine," he repeated, pulling Srishti close to him for a long kiss. When she finally caught her breath, Srishti playfully slapped Aahan's chest, causing him to chuckle. "No doubt, you're mine," he said, giving her another quick kiss before leading her out of the house.

As they strolled through the aisles of Walmart, Srishti couldn't resist pulling Aahan towards the sweets section. "Ooh, look at all the candy!" she exclaimed, grabbing Aahan's arm. "I want this one," she said, holding up a bag of gummy bears. Aahan raised an eyebrow. "What? No way, these are way better," he argued, holding up a bag of sour patch kids. They playfully argued back and forth, causing some other shoppers to give them amused looks.

"Oops, sorry about that," Srishti said to a woman they had accidentally bumped into while debating over the candy. Aahan added, "Sorry, we tend to get a bit carried away with our arguments." The woman just smiled and said, "No problem, it's nice to see young couples having fun together."

Aahan and Srishti continued their grocery shopping, playfully teasing each other as they went along. Even though it was getting late, the store was still bustling with activity. Srishti marveled at the difference in shopping culture between Canada and India. "In India, by this time of night, most stores are closed and everyone is in bed," she observed.

As they finished their shopping, Aahan and Srishti headed toward the billing counter with their overflowing cart. Aahan pulled out his credit card and swiped it to pay the bill. Srishti couldn't help but notice the grand total, which was certainly on the higher end. They had bought everything they would need for the next week, from groceries to household essentials.

As they stepped out of the Walmart, Srishti looked at Aahan and said, "We are going to live like royals for a week with all these luxurious items." Aahan laughed and replied, "We are already living like royals with each other's company, and all of this is just a bonus."

They headed back home and spent the rest of the night unpacking and organizing their purchases. It was a tiring day, but as they cuddled up in each other's arms, they both knew that this was exactly what they had been looking for - a peaceful and relaxed life, away from the hustle and bustle of their busy city lives.
