Chapter 1233
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1233 Shannon flushed in anger. She glared at Sherry and then looked around the room.
âThereâs no surveillance or recorder here. Just speak,â Sherry said.
John might have been a bastard, but he came here only to have sex with her. He would not be that stupid to record it and have
his reputation ruined.
Sherry had checked the room multiple times but did not find anything With that assurance, Shannon lowered her guard. She
tossed the breakfast on the table and said, âSherry, do you still want to leave the Stocktonsâ residence?â
Sherry squinted. âDo you have a way?â Shannon said, âThere will be a dinner here in three days. Guests will come, and most of
the servants will be at the event hall working to serve the guests. You can use that opportunity to escape.â Sherry pondered
about the suggestion . âShannon , I'm quite far away from the event hall, and there are bodyguards at the entrance and the gate,
so how am | supposed to leave undetected?â
Shannon frowned. âI still haven't come up with a viable
solution. If you really want to leave, that night will be your best opportunity.â Sherry pondered further. âAre you really going to
help me? Is this going to be another trap of yours?â
Shannon was upset by her remark. âI didn't tell anyone about Mason coming to meet you the other day. | don't know who leaked
the news.â
âThen, who do you think it is? The snitch, | mean.â
â| don't know. Anyway, it wasn't me.â Shannon wanted Sherry to disappear right away, thus there was no way that she would do
something that would ruin her plan.
Sherry nodded. âI guess so. You want me gone, so it's impossible for you to be that stupid.â
Shannonâs eyes flickered angrily, but she did not say anything. Sherry then added, âI have an idea. If Emerence is working at the
event hall that night, | might have a solution.â
âWhat is it?â Shannon asked. âThe dinner that night is an important one, so Emerence will lead all the servants there to help out.
Tell me your idea.â
â| can't tell you just yet,â Sherry said with a grin, âAll you need to do is arrange for someone to meet me outside the quarters
during dinner.â
Shannonâs gaze shifted. âFine. I'll do as you say. I'll see you in three days.â
When Sherry picked a bun up from the table and munched on it, Shannon glared at her and then left.
The upcoming dinner must be an important one because after Shannon left, Emerence did not deliver dinner from that night
onwards.
The one who replaced Emerence was another girl of a similar height. She was pretty and rather quiet. She took Emerenceâs
place in delivering dinner and breakfast the next day.
The girl left the breakfast on the table, but before she left, Sherry stopped her. âHey, what's your name? Why are you delivering
my meals? Whereâs Aunt Emerence?â. The girl lowered her head and said in a small voice, âI'm Tanya. Aunt Emerence is busy,
so she arranged for me to take her place.â âWhat's been keeping her occupied?â
âShe's busy preparing for the upcoming dinner.â âThe dinner tomorrow night? What kind of guests are coming?â As though she
was afraid to reveal too much, Tanya immediately changed her tone. âI donât know. I'm new
here. I'm just tasked to deliver your meal.â
âFing. You can leave now.â
Tanya immediately left the room.
Sherryâs narrowed eyes gleamed. As she perfected her escape plan in her mind, John came in. 1
The day was still bright, and he was already here, dressed in his white shirt and long pants with his jacket hanging over his arm.
He hung the jacket over the rack as soon as he came in. Sherry glared at him cautiously.
