Chapter 1357
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1357
At the same time in a hospital in a distant city, Sylvia was sitting on the bench with a saline infusion. The transparent tube with
the needle was poked into the back of her hand.
Her brows furrowed as she leaned back feebly.
Maybe because they failed to acclimatize to the local environment, Ms. Kang, Ms. Johnson, and herself caught a fever when
they arrived yesterday. Other than the fever, there were symptoms of a cold as well.
Her head was heavy while her body felt weak and everything felt terrible. She could not even speak properly with her coarse
voice. She could not even think straight when she received a text from Flint.
In order to not expose her condition to her kids, she texted back and told them she could not talk at the moment.
To her surprise, after she put the phone down, she received a call from Aunt Tonyaâs number. She did not want Aunt Tonya to
worry, so she texted back and informed the same.
Then, she received a text in the rudest tone. âYour man is dying. When are you coming back?â
She knew at first glance it was Odell. She was exhausted after arguing with him for so long, so in order to have peace of mind,
she blocked Aunt Tonyaâs number to keep the man from annoying her.
The man must be exploding with anger.
However, he was at home with Aunt Tonya, Madam Carter, Sebastian, and the kids, so probably nothing would happen.
The thought calmed her mind as she sighed and closed her eyes.
Odell stayed home for two more days.
It had been snowing in Westchester for the past two days, and similar to the snowy weather, his mind had been blank and dizzy
for as long as he still caught a cold. He did not even have the mood to take his medication.
Aunt Tonya and Sebastian took turns delivering the medicine to him, but he tossed them away.
Even the three little rascals were stopped outside the door.
It was Madam Carter who scolded some sense into him.
Only then he took two pills to treat his condition. Unfortunately, his face was still pale and his mood remained sour, even more so
when he asked Cliff and Ben
about Sylvia, and both of them informed him that they did not see Sylvia at any terminals or stops.
Evening, his mind had finally regained some clarity after being dizzy for two days. He also regained a portion of his strength.
He called Cliff and then Ben, but he got the same reply.
âSir, we still donât have any news about the madam.â
Odellâs expression turned grim. He angrily kicked the little drawer by the desk to vent his expression. He then grabbed his coat
and went downstairs. He borrowed Sebastianâs phone to text Sylvia and tossed it back when he was done.
He put on his coat, and his frosty expression was apparent as he strode outside. His towering figure soon disappeared in the
chilly weather.
Meanwhile, in a city far away, Sylvia went to the hospital alone. She was still having a fever, hence the multiple visits.
Both Ms. Johnson and Ms. Kang wanted to accompany her, but they were here for a vacation, so she did not want them to waste
time at the hospital because of her.
Her legs were weak. As soon as she sat down on the bed, she received a text on her phone.
She pulled it out and saw Sebastianâs text. âSylvia, you've really done it! Donât even bother to come back now. If you dare to
come back, I'll show you!â
It was Odell texting her with Sebastianâs phone.
She could already picture the manâs expression when she read the text. She sighed feebly and pocketed her phone after another
glance. She could not do anything about the manâs anger right now, and she planned to go back after she recovered.
She believed he would not do anything to her even if she really went back.
