Chapter 1444
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1444
Queenieâs eyes lit up. âHeâs that awesome?!â
âIndeed.âEven Julie showed a hint of admiration on her face. âWithout this person, the Sagers would not have regained their
former glory. Even Young Master Sager became his student. But the Sagers were afraid of their rivals scouting him, so his
existence is kept a secret. Other than the Sagers themselves, almost no one has seen this person before.â
Queenie asked out of curiosity, âThen, why is he coming to Glenchester with Young Master Sager?â
âGlenchester is famous for its tourism industry. Both the tourism and entertainment industries are considered the best in the
country. | believe the Sagers want to expand their reach in the entertainment industry as well, so they sent him and Young
Master Sager here to learn from us. But | have a hunch that they want to work with John even more.â Julie then looked at John.
John curled his lips. âYou've analyzed it quite well.â Julie smiled at the praise she got from John.
Queenie complimented, âJulie, youâre awesome! You handle everything at home perfectly and even know all of this?â
Madam Stockton, who held Caprice in her arms, joined the conversation. âThen, you should learn more from Julie.â
Queenie pouted. âItâs not like it's something | can pick up in an instant.â Julie smiled. âQueenie, donât take it that way. | learned
from John as well. If you spend a little more effort in learning, you'll be able to do it as well.â
âJulie, the outlets Brother assigned you have been doing great in the past few years. Itâs not about learning, itâs about talent. You
donât need to console me. Iâm just not talented enough.â
Julie smiled. âDonât be like that. Iâm still learning as well.â
Madam Stockton looked at Queenie. âThatâs enough, Julie. You donât need to be humble with this girl here. You're talented in
running businesses, in fact, a lot better than Queenie is.â
Julie awkwardly pursed her lips. âMother, please donât say that to Queenie.â
She then looked at John. âJohn?â John smiled. âYou ran the outlets | gave you nicely. | am planning to hand you a bigger outlet,
and you can expand what you learned from there.â
With Johnâs praise, Julieâs expression brightened. She smiled and said, âI know, John. I'll do my best.â
Then, Madam Stockton said, âJohn, why donât you bring Julie along to the business guild event later? Give her the chance to
meet more people in the industry.â Julieâs eyes gleamed. John nodded. âSure. Why not?â Julie's smile widened.
Madam Stockton added, âQueenie, you should go with
Julie as well. If you have your eyes on some handsome young man, remember to tell Julie about it.â
Queenieâs expression changed. âNo. Iâm not going. | want to stay at home and play with Caprice.â
Madam Stockton glared at her. âIâm here to take care of Caprice. You should go with John and Julie!â
âNo! | donât want to go!â Queenie insisted.
Madam Stockton sighed.
Julie tried to ease the little bickering between the mother and daughter.
John then called Caprice to his side and brought her into the room.
The weather was unforgivingly cold, and the event later at night would be filled with people from different industries. He did not
want to put Caprice under too much spotlight, so he had to leave her at home.
He told Caprice to listen to Aunt Wanda and her grandmother and not to wander away alone.
The girl nodded obediently.
Half an hour before the event started, John finally put Caprice in Madam Stockton and Aunt Wandaâs care.
He grabbed his jacket and headed to the car outside the house.
When the bodyguard opened the door for him, he got in. âJohn.â
Awomanâs gentle voice came from the side.
