Chapter 1467
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1467
Sherry would not bend over to please John.
If he was in his right mind, he would not give up the partnership with Sager Corporation.
John was stunned. This was the first time someone who wanted to collaborate with him dared to give him attitude.
After a moment, he laughed. âSherry, do you think the cooperation with Sager Corporation is very important to me?â
âIf itâs not that important, then give me back the letter of intent.â Sherry held out her hand as she spoke.
John was speechless.
After choking for a moment, he lifted the corners of his lips again. âHow do you plan to explain it to Sager Corporation if you fail
to cinch the partnership with me?â
Although she was the president of Sager Corporation and was very influential, she was still working for the Sager family.
Sherry met his evil and calculating gaze and smiled at him. âI'll tell them you rejected me because of a personal grudge against
me.
âHeh...â
She would blame it on him? That was quite resourceful.
He said, âThen, what if | call Madam Sager directly and tell her it's because you donât want to work with me no thanks to your
arrogance?â
Sherry imitated his sinister smile and replied, âI'll say that you deliberately set me up to frame me.â
He lifted his lips. âAre you so sure that Madam Sager will believe you?â
âPositive.â Sherry crossed her arms and also leaned back in the seat, raising her brows at him. âIf you donât believe me, you can
contact her now.â
John snorted. âHeh. Do you believe me if | say I'll never let you see Caprice again?â
Sherry was speechless. Her throat choked up, and her face reddened in anger.
John took another sip of tea. Seeing her remain silent, he asked with a smile, âAre you in a rush to leave, Ms. Fowler? If you are,
I'll return the letter of intent to you now.â
She gritted her teeth. âIâm not in a rush. Iâm in no hurry at all. You look over it slowly and talk to me in your own time. Thereâs no
problem even if it takes a year.â
John laughed. âGood.â
Then, he slowly flipped through the letter.
Sherry swallowed down her anger.
This damned man should just get struck dead by lightning!
It was already dark when they came out of the conference room.
If not for some urgent matter that he had to deal with personally, he would have delayed it until midnight.
However, he really did put forward a few useful suggestions to Sherry. She recorded all those recommendations in her notebook.
When he got up and went out, she stood up and followed him.
Then, he suddenly stopped outside of the conference room.
Sherry did not manage to stop in time, thus her forehead hit his back.
He was obviously unprepared as well. His straight figure was thrown off balance, and he stumbled two steps forward.
He glared back at her.
Sherryâs forehead throbbed from the impact. When she saw him, she immediately looked at him with displeasure. âWhy did you
stop?â
John looked at her coldly. âYou're the one who bumped into me.â
Sherryâs eyes flickered, and she said, âI wouldnât have bumped into you if you didnât suddenly stop or if you had told me that you
were going to stop.â
John narrowed his eyes. âSo, youâre saying that | should apologize to you?â
âThatâs not necessary.â Sherry smiled at him. âJust let me see Caprice.â
John laughed. âIn your dreams.â
Then, he turned and walked forward quickly. He was obviously in a rush to handle other matters.
Sherry gritted her teeth and continued to follow him.
However, immediately, he suddenly turned around.
Sherry almost bumped into him again and took two steps back.
He looked at her with a smile. âIf you keep following me, I'll tell the security guards to tie you up and throw you out.â
Sherry glared at him, then strode toward the gate.
