Chapter 1581
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1581
Right after Sherryâs car left the gates of Stockton Residence, another black MPV emerged from the shadows.
Inside the car was the man with the golden-framed glasses, elegantly sitting in the
rear seat.
John had just come home a while ago. He said to his driver, âFollow them. Donât let them notice you.â
The driver nodded.
Mason chose an expensive and grand restaurant that served some of Sherryâs favorite dishes. The only downside was the
distance from Stockton Residence.
Sherry took a forty-minute ride to reach the restaurant.
The sky had gotten dark when she arrived. When she got out of the car, she saw Mason sitting by the ceiling-to-wall window on
the second floor.
Mason saw her too. He waved at her with a smile and she returned the favor.
The black MPV stopped outside the restaurant. The man with the golden-framed glasses wound down the window and stared at
the second floor with a sharp gaze.
Sherry went upstairs and sat down opposite Mason.
Mason wore a formal suit today, which made him look more like a gentleman than his usual sporty look. He looked at Sherry and
said with a smile, âI've ordered some dishes. Have a look if you want to order anything else.â
He then pushed the menu over to her.
Sherry glanced at it. She realized that all the dishes Mason ordered were her favorite. She smiled. âThatâs more than enough.â
âGreat. What do you want to drink? Red wine? Or fruit punch?â Mason asked.
âLil just get a glass of fruit juice,â Sherry said. She just wanted to have dinner and ask about how Mason was doing lately, so
there was no need for alcoholic drinks.
Others who knew iess might have assumed they were dating.
âAlright.â Mason ordered her a glass of fruit juice.
The dishes were served swiftly.
Sherry had a few bites and jumped to the topic. âWhat are you planning to do after going back to Westchester?â
âMy familyâs business in Westchester has been going well in the past few years, so | plan to take over the family's business when
| go back. After everything has settled down, I'll find something else to do.â
Sherry nodded. âIs your family still running the construction material business?â
âYeah.â
Amomentary thought later, Sherry asked, âSo, you are not planning to continue the projects here in Glenchester?â
âYeah. We've passed the projects to other interested parties.â As though Mason read Sherryâs mind, he smiled and continued,
âSherry, you donât have to worry about me. | might not be as capable, but | wonât allow myself to deal in a losing business.â
Sherry sighed a breath of relief. âThat sounds great.â
âBut | have a few questions for you.â
âWhat is it?â
âThe Sagers faced a tremendous crisis before, and itâs almost impossible for them to make a comeback. How and what did you
do to bring the Sagers back on track?â His eyes were gleaming with interest. He wanted to find out if she had used other
methods other than the rumored ones.
Sherry smiled. âYeah. | did use a lot of unorthodox methods...â
She revealed a lot of her methods and went into some details.
Masonâs expression went through a roller-coaster ride as he listened to her methods. He chuckled. âSherry, you are really good,
better than | expected.â
Sherry smiled. âItâs nothing.â
Given the circumstances back then, she had to push herself to go the extra mile, and with her coincidental talents in doing
business, she was able to make a lot of things happen.
