Chapter 1589
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1589
Madam Stockton ordered the driver to drive as fast as he could.
The cart sprinted all the way to the gate and stopped beside the parking lot.
Madam Stockton got out swiftly, and so did Julie.
Madam Stockton was aware of Julie following her, so she said, âYou donât need to follow me. Call John, tell him to call Sherry,
and maybe he can change her mind.â
Julie immediately answered, âAlright. | will call John right away.â She pulled her phone out but did not dial Johnâs number.
Instead, she watched as Madam Stockton get into her car.
The car engine roared to life and sprinted out of the gates.
As the car accelerated out of her sight, Julieâs expression turned cold and her eyes showed a hint of viciousness. She muttered,
âMother, donât blame me for this. You should blame yourself for seeing things that you shouldnât and trying to chase me out of the
family.â
Meanwhile, the white MPV had driven away from the residential area of the Stocktons.
Sherry was in the rear seat with Caprice. Her eyes were glued to the window.
Suddenly, the girl in her arms moved. Sherry looked down and saw the girl's crystal clear eyes looking at her.
âGood morning, my baby,â she said with a smile.
Caprice was aware of her surroundings. She asked curiously, âMommy, are we going out to play?â
Sherry hummed a reply.
Caprice looked around and then continued, âWhy didnât Aunt Wanda and Uncle Jason come with us?â
Sherryâs eyes flickered. âMommy told them to take a day off today.â
The girlâs curiosity was limited, but she was interested in knowing where they were heading. As she slowly regained her clarity,
she asked, âMommy, where are we going?â
Sherry inhaled deeply and said, âWe are going someplace far.â
The girl opened her mouth and asked innocently, âHow far?â
Sherry pursed her lips. Just when she was about to tell the girl that they were going to Coastrock City, her phone rang. Startled,
she nervously pulled her phone out.
It was John.
Why would the man call her at this hour?
She had just brought Caprice away from the house and even sent Aunt Wanda and Jason away, hence the man should have no
way of knowing that she had taken Caprice.
Amomentary hesitance later, she decided to answer the call.
The manâs deep voice echoed in her ears, âHave you eaten breakfast?â He sounded gentle.
Sherry sighed a breath of relief but her chest started to tighten again.
âI have,â she said.
âWhat are you doing now?â he asked.
Sherry replied with a question, âShouldnât you be working?â
âI'm on my way to the work site. Itâs going to take a while,â the man said. He was
calling her with the free time he had in between meetings.
â|... I'm playing with Caprice,â Sherry stuttered.
