When that happened, Sherry would no longer have the dignity to continue the engagement with Carl.

Lisa would probably dislike her when she found out, and so would Carl.

Caden said, “Yeah. Aiden, let's tell Dad, Mom, and Grandma!” He was eager to see Sherry embarrass herself in public.

Aiden, however, went silent.

Amoment later, he said, “These pictures alone can’t prove that the girl is her daughter, and it also can’t prove that the man is her

ex-husband.”

Caden asked, “Why not?”

Ada looked at him as well.

Aiden explained, “Sherry has been keeping her distance from her ex-husband, and it’s quite the distance | must say. Even

though she held her daughter, we don’t have a video of them talking. She could simply say the man was her friend or relative,

and that the girl is her niece or someone else.”

Caden tightened his brows.

Annoyed, Ada cursed, “That bitch is really cunning.”

Aiden, however, smiled. “She’s having the engagement with Carl in a week. | believe her ex- husband has his own agenda for

appearing at this particular time with her daughter. Don’t worry, we'll follow them, and maybe we can get something spicy before

the engagement.”

Ada frowned. “What if we can’t get anything and they proceed with the engagement?”

“Don't worry, Ada. There’s a week left.” A sudden thought rushed into Aiden’s mind and he added with a smile, “Maybe we can

have a private conversation with her ex-husband.”

Ade’s gaze shifted.

Caden scoffed. “Bro, are you planning to prepare something ‘big’ for them during the engagement party?”

Aiden grinned. “I am going to prepare something so ‘big’ that they won't forget it for the rest of their lives.”

Maybe after the engagement, Sherry might no longer be Carl's fiance and would leave the Sagers altogether.

Sherry took a ride back to her own place; Caprice slept soundly in her arms.

She put the girl on her bed, removed the girl's jacket and shoes, and tucked the girl in before she headed to the bathroom to

wash up.

After cleaning up, she came out in her pajamas.

She laid down beside Caprice and sniffed the girl’s sweet scent, which relieved her thoughts. She could not help but kiss the girl

on the cheek before she hugged her to sleep.

She fell asleep soon after hugging her daughter into her arms.

At the same time below her apartment, the man’s slender figure leaned against the car with his arms crossed. He looked up and

stared at Sherry’s window.

The lights had gone off for a while now. She must be asleep with Caprice.

Jason came over.

John glanced at him and asked, “Are the men ready?”

Jason answered, “We have arranged men around Ms. Fowler’s residence. Once she steps out of the house with Ms. Caprice,

our men will follow her.”

John nodded.

Just before he went back into the car, Jason added, “Sir, there’s one more thing.”

John turned around. “What is it?”

Jason looked around sneakily and said in a small voice, “Our men also found out that someone is following you and Ms. Fowler.”

John narrowed his eyes. “We'll talk about that in the car.”

He opened the door and got inside while Jason got into the passenger seat.

The car then drove off to his hotel.

Jason then turned to the rear seat and continued, “An hour ago, just when you left the beach with Ms. Fowler and Ms. Caprice,

our men noticed them.”
