Caprice pouted. “Why did you hurt Mommy?” Her tiny hands wrapped around his neck, and she leaned against his chest. She

pouted and glared at him angrily.

John choked up for a moment. He regained his voice after a while and said, “I didn’t do it on purpose, but | did hurt her.”

“Hmph!” Caprice pouted angrily and looked away.

John was left speechless, and he pursed his lips helplessly. He then said to the girl, ” Caprice, | know what I did wrong, and I'll

try my best to get Mommy back. But-”

“But what?” The girl looked at him with a skeptical gaze.

“But | may need your help,” John said with a smile.

If it was not for Caprice, he might not even see Sherry in person.

Caprice widened her eyes as soon as she heard her father asking her for help. “What can | do to help?”

Looking at the girl’s adorable and enthusiastic expression, John curled his lips. “Caprice, you don’t have to do anything now. You

just need to tell Mommy you miss her when you see her and tell her you don’t want to leave her.”

The two men stood outside the elevator. One of them was on watch while the other was making a call.

Sherry changed into some fresh new clothes and went out. She planned to head to Lisa’s place by car, so she headed to the

parking lot by the garden.

Sherry refused to have the breakfast bought by the man, but the girl’s plump cheeks were too adorable to resist, and she

sounded super cute too. She did not have the heart to reject the girl, so she accepted the breakfast from her.

“Thank you, Caprice. I'll go find you when I’m done with work.”

Caprice smiled brightly. “Okay. Caprice will wait for you.”

Sherry smiled at the girl. “Okay, Mommy is off to work.”

With a bright smile hanging on her face, Sherry entered the car with the breakfast. The car engine roared to life. Within a few

steers, she was out of the apartment parking lot.

She was caught in terrible traffic while on the way to Lisa’s place. She then had a glance at the breakfast on the passenger seat.

It was a tuna sandwich and a cup of hot latte, which were her favorites.
