Chapter 1791
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1791
She clearly remembered the flower was different when she sent Queenie and Madam Stockton out.
John went silent for a moment. âSomeone came to visit and brought flowers.â
âWho?â
âSomeone you donât know,â he said plainly.
âOh.â
It was probably his contact in Coastrock that she did not know of.
Sherry was not overly bothered. She walked to Capriceâs side and sat down.
Caprice suddenly said, âDaddy, | want to video-call Liam.â
Sherry was slightly surprised.
John took his phone out. He checked the time to make sure Liam was free before he pulled up Liamâs contact number. He then
passed his phone to Caprice, âHere.â
âYay!â
Caprice took his phone and sat down on the couch. She shuffled her way to the side and video-called Liam.
The girl was just a few meters away. Sherry could see the girls wide grin and cheeks puffed when she called Liamâs name on the
screen, âLiam!â She was over the moon.
Sherry could not help but giggle at her adorable daughter. It was then she sensed a gaze on her. She turned around and saw
Johnâs warm gaze on her. She furrowed her brows. âWhat are you looking at?â
âAt your beauty,â John said with a smile.
Sherry wanted to punch him but then he said, âDo you have anything to tell me?â
Sherry pursed her lips. âMm-hmm...â
She glanced at Caprice happily video-calling Liam before she said, âWhen you get better, bring Caprice back to Glenchester.â
The manâs gaze shifted. âWhat about you?â
âI'll stay. | still have to finish what | started here. When Iâm done, I'll go look for you guys.â
âWill you be coming back then?â He looked at her with the warmest gaze, but Sherry somehow felt guilty.
âYeah.â
âSo, are you planning to live in two cities while staying with Caprice and me forever?â
âOf course, it won't be forever,â she answered instinctively.
âThen, how long will it be?â he asked as he fixated his gaze on her.
Sherryâs eyes flickered. She stammered, âI... | donât know.â
âThen, are you planning to work for the Sagers forever?â he asked.
The question silenced Sherry.
Work for the Sagers forever?
She had a long road ahead of her and she believed she would not stay with the Sagers forever. Just as she was arranging her
words to form a satisfying answer, his deep and pleasant voice echoed in her ears, âSherry, come back to my company.â
Sherry was surprised by the offer.
John had sat down beside her without her knowledge. He stroked her head and said, âIf you come back, | can give you my entire
company.â
Sherry was stunned. Her eyes went blank.
He looked at her gently. His gaze felt magical as if it could suck the soul out of her.
