Chapter 1801
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1801
Lisaâs eyes teared up. âGood, good. As long as you know your way home.â
She urged Sherry to take the property deeds. âKeep these.â
Sherry accepted her goodwill. âThank you, Lisa.â
The lunch went on for hours. Lisa chatted with her about many things.
They only went back to the office in the evening.
There were still resignation procedures that Sherry needed to be a part of, especially since she was a department manager.
There was some time left before clocking out, so she went back to her department and held a small meeting with her
subordinates to tell them that she was leaving. Her subordinates were all smart people, and they already expected her to leave
for Glenchester sooner or later.
It was the time spent together that made it difficult to see her leave.
Sherry chatted with them for a long time.
It was until the sky turned dark when Sherry realized it was way past time to leave office. She told her subordinates to go home
without holding them back any further. She then grabbed her purse and left the building as well.
It was already seven oâclock. She wondered if Caprice was waiting for her at home.
She strode to the parking lot. When she approached her car, she heard an adorable voice calling her,â Mommy...â
Sherry looked ahead and saw John and Caprice by her car.
The man leaned on the car, looking slightly lazy.
Caprice crawled out of Johnâs arms and waddled her way to Sherry.
Sherry bent over to carry the girl into her arms then gave the girl a big kiss on the cheek.
Caprice also kissed her back.
Sherry carried the girl over to John.
âWhy are you here with Caprice?â she asked.
John curled his lips. âCaprice missed you, so | brought her here.â
Sherry looked at Caprice. The girl snuck a glance at John before she nodded and hummed a reply.
Sherry could not help but kiss her cheek again, and Caprice giggled happily.
Then, a big hand patted Sherryâs head. She turned to John.
John looked at her with a gentle gaze and asked, âDid Mrs. Sager give you an answer?â
He was referring to the resignation letter she sent to Lisa last night.
Sherry nodded. âLisa approved it.â
John noticed her lifted mood. It seemed like the resignation did not affect her and Lisa seemed to
approve of it rather quickly. He exclaimed, âThen, letâs go home.â
âOkay.â
Sherry carried Caprice into the rear seat while John got into the driverâs seat.
The car drove out of the parking lot and joined the traffic on the road.
Higher up in the CEOâs office, a towering figure stood before the ceiling-to-floor window as he gazed down at Sherryâs car that
left the building.
