Chapter 1808

Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife

Chapter 1808

John must have sensed what was on her mind. He fell silent for a moment before stating, “We can choose to invite only our

close friends and relatives.”

Only the ones closest to them in their personal lives needed to witness the commemoration of their relationship.

He brushed her cheek again and asked softly, “Is that alright?”

Sherry wavered for a moment, then she nodded. “Alright.”

John smiled softly, the same gentle glow appearing in his charming eyes.

She was going to get up and leave, but there was an enchanting, magnetizing power in his eyes that made her draw closer to

him. She had barely inched her head toward him when he palmed the back of her head and drew her into him.

Their lips locked.

The date of the wedding was set for the next week.

The time, venue, and every other logistic detail had been sorted out. Ten sets of wedding dresses had been tailored for Sherry.

All she needed to do was to choose her favorite one among them.

Needless to say, John had begun making the preparations for the wedding before they even returned from Coastrock

Sherry was slightly overwhelmed but managed to keep it together.

Madam Stockton had already finalized the list of guests to be invited on the Stocktons side.

It was time to finalize Sherry’s guest list.

The first person she called was Sylvia. When Sylvia heard about the wedding, she promised to attend right away and mentioned

that she would bring Odell and the children.

After that, Sherry called Lisa who was in Coastrock. Lisa was shocked but readily agreed.

Madam Stockton and Queenie were the ones in charge of planning the wedding.

After receiving confirmation that Sylvia, Odell, and Lisa would attend, Sherry forwarded the information to Queenie and Mama

Stockton.

Queenie immediately began designing the invitation cards for Sherry’s guests.

Weighing her words carefully, Madam Stockton proposed to Sherry, “Sherry, your parents are in Glanchester. Do you want to

invite them?”

Sherry made a look and decided, “No need.”

In the past, she still held out hopes that they could one day repair their broken relationship. Now, she had Caprice and a life of

her own. What Matthew and Janine have done to her was utterly unforgivable and answered any remaining doubts she had

about whether they cared about her at all. As far as they were concerned, she was less than a stranger.

Madam Stockton noticed the firm look on Sherry’s face. She said with an understanding smile, “Alright.”

The week flew by.

Odell, Sylvia, and their children arrived at Glanceshter the night before the wedding.

One of the highlights of a wedding procession was when the groom went to see the bride.

The soon-to-be-wed couple had not slept in the same house since three days ago. Sherry and Caprice were temporarily installed

in one of the houses John owned in the city. On the day of the wedding, he would show up to claim her.

Sylvia brought Liam to see Sherry on the night before the wedding.

Odell, Isabel, and Flint must have gone to visit John.

As soon as the doorbell rang, Aunt Wanda opened the door. The moment she recognized Sylvia and Liam, she rushed into the

house and announced cheerfully, “Mrs. Sherry, Mrs. Sylvia and Liam are here!”

Sherry and Caprice happened to be napping. The moment Caprice heard Aunt Wanda’s voice, she pounced out of bed and was

out of the room before Sherry had time to grab her.

By the time Sherry waltzed into the living room, Caprice was already all over Liam.

Liam had grown significantly taller since they last met. He stood nearly as tall as Sylvia’s shoulders. He was tall and lean while

his complexion was fair and defined. The shadow of his father could be seen in his features.

Even Sherry was immediately taken by how handsome he looked. It made sense that Caprice was obsessed with him. She clung

to Liam the entire time and refused to let go.

Sherry tried to distract Caprice several times to no avail. At one point, Caprice even got annoyed and buried herself into the

burrow of Liam's neck to muffle out her mother’s voice.

Sherry chuckled.

Sylvia motioned to her. “Let the kids play for a while.”

Liam turned to Sherry and assured her as he wrapped his arms snugly around Caprice, “Aunt Sherry, I'll take care of Caprice.”
