Chapter 1848
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1848
Jonathan was not expecting such a fearless reaction from Caprice and was visibly taken aback.
After he reeled back from the shock and was still considering his response, President Michael remarked with a smile, âShe's
feisty, | like that.â
He grabbed a glass of beer and rose from his seat. Then, he lapped around the table to Capriceâs side so he could sit next to
her.
He shot a cross look at Jonathan. âIf she doesnât want to drink, let her be! Why are you forcing her to drink?â
Jonathan apologized.
With that, President Michael leaned in closer to Caprice. âMiss Caprice, you donât have to drink if you donât like to drink. Have a
toast with me, you can drink whatever you want.â
He raised his glass while coyly putting another arm around Capriceâs waist.
Caprice recoiled.
She immediately shot up from her seat and snatched a glass of orange juice from the table. She smashed it toward the pervert's
head without any hesitation.
Crash!
President Michael staggered backward.
Jonathan and everyone else at the table shot up from their seats, completely aghast.
They stared at Caprice with bewilderment.
President Michael regained his footing. His once playful smile turned into a murderous glower as he growled, âHow dare you hit
me?1â
Caprice was just as furious.
âYou deserve it, you disgusting pervert!â She grabbed everything on the table that could be used as a projectile and began
throwing them one after another at the perverted old man.
Jonathan and all of the others were too stunned to react.
President Michael was flabbergasted as well.
They had never seen such a display in their entire lives, especially coming from a girl like Caprice.
Everyone was at a loss for what to do.
President Michael reeled back from his shock in time. He smashed the glass in his hand against. the floor and jabbed a finger at
Caprice. âYou little b*tch, now you've done it!â
He roared as he threw himself at Caprice. He was going to hurt her.
Caprice hurriedly threw a chair toward him to buy some time while she headed toward the exit
It was only then that the others had the mind to stop her.
It was too late as Caprice had already run outside.
She could hear President Michaelâs booming voice from behind. âCatch her! Donât let her get away!â
Immediately after she ran out of the box, President Michaelâs group ran after her.
She ran as fast as her legs could manage.
The group of old and fat businessmen was more athletic than they seemed.
They were closing in on her rapidly.
Caprice continued running, her heart was about to lunge out of her chest.
Just when President Michael's hand was about to graze the back of her shirt, she crashed at full speed into another person.
It was a man who just happened to be heading up the stairs.
She could not tell who the person was, but her momentum was completely cut off in an instant.
Her heart dropped, and panic seized her.
It was all over. They were going to get her. What was going to happen to her?
âHelp-â She tried to cry for help but she barely managed a yelp when the stranger put an arm protectively around her shoulders.
She jumped.
She could hear President Michaelâs breathy growl from behind her. âYoung man, this little b*tch over here just hit me so Iâm going
to teach her a lesson. | advise you to mind your own business and walk away.â
The young man asked with equal aggression, âWhat did you call her?â
It was then when Caprice recognized the man. She cried out sharply, âLiam!â
She had miraculously stumbled into the one person who could save her, and an eager look of relief shone in her eyes.
Liam peered at her, then he gently nudged her to his side, wrapping his arms protectively around her the entire time. He glared
viciously at President Michael whose hair was drenched in all sorts of liquid and grease after Capriceâs ruthless assault on him.
