“Let me call Trey for a second,” Caprice blurted out as she reached for her phone and called Trey.

Just as expected, his phone was turned off.

She texted Trey. “Trey, don’t do anything stupid. I'll think of something. You'll get through this.”

Piper suddenly grabbed Caprice’s wrist and pleaded, her voice filled with pain, “Caprice... My brother told me to not ask you for

help, but you’re the only one that can bail him out now.”

Caprice gripped her hands firmly. “Don’t worry. I'll think of something.”

Ten billion was a hefty sum that would most certainly cripple Piper’s family. As it was, the best solution was to negotiate with VV

Entertainment to get them to nullify the contract.

Caprice’s first thought went to her parents, but she considered that their businesses were largely based in Glanchester. Although

they had some ongoing projects in Westchester, they never had anything to do with VV Entertainment.

The only one that could be of any service in this situation was her uncle, Odell. She was certain that the situation could be taken

care of easily if she could get him to help. The only hiccup was. that since he was currently overseas with Aunt Sylvia and might

be unavailable.

Caprice looked for Sylvia’s number in her contacts.

After a short hesitation, she sent Sylvia a text. “Aunt Sylvia, are you busy right now?”

Shortly after she sent the message, she received a call.

It was Moses.

She was not expecting the sudden call and answered it apprehensively, “Hey, Moses, what is it?”

Moses’ voice sounded grave on the phone. “Caprice, there's something | need to talk to you about. I’m outside your dormitory

right now. Would you mind coming down?”

Caprice was very jumpy because of the whole ordeal with Trey, hence she said snappily, “If you have anything to tell me, just do

it on the phone. I’m kind of busy right now.”

He hesitated for a few seconds before asking, “Did something happen to Piper’s family?”

Caprice was taken aback. “How did you know?”

“Could you come down so we can talk in person? It’s easier to explain that way.”

Caprice readily agreed this time, “Okay, I'll be right there.”

She put down her phone and turned to Piper who was casting hopeful glances at her. “Piper, need to go out for a second. Just

wait for me here with Freya. I'll be right back”

She hastily left the dormitory.

Moses was waiting for her in the garden next to the dormitory gate.

Caprice marched up to him and immediately initiated the topic without even greeting him. “How did you know about what

happened with Piper’s family?”

Moses said with a dark frown, “You probably heard about me meeting Piper and Freya at Emerald Vlast Saturday. When they

were leaving that evening, Heather saw them.”

He suddenly brought up. “Do you know who Heather is?”

Caprice said with a sullen expression, “Yeah.”

Moses took a deep breath and continued, “She seems to have a grudge against Piper. After Piper and Freya left, | overheard her

on the phone talking with her father. She said something about Piper being nasty to her, and she wanted her father to take

revenge.

“| briefly heard her mention an ongoing business deal between Rockon Technology and VV Entertainment. At the time, | didn’t

think too much about it. | assumed she wanted her father to call off the deal. It was only today when | chatted with one of my

friends that | heard about what happened. Instead of dissolving the deal, they went and tampered with the contract to sabotage

Rockon Technology.”

As he said this, he cast a look at Caprice.

Caprice had grown pale by this point. She clenched her fists tightly, holding her arms close to her body

Heather!

It was Heather this entire time! She and her tricks!

When had there ever been any kind of bad blood between her and Piper? It was obvious that she was Heather’s real target!

“Caprice, what's wrong? Why did you turn so pale?” Moses asked worriedly when he sensed something change in Caprice.

She clenched her teeth and strode past him, going toward the gate.

Moses quickly caught up to her, feeling worried about her further aggravating the situation by confronting Heather. “Caprice,

Heather is the future successor of VV Entertainment. She also used to be the assistant to the owner of Carter Tech City What I’m

saying is that she has a lot of influence in Westchester, so it's not going to end well if you try to confront her head-on. Don’t be

rash!”
