Chapter 1895
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1895
Flint coughed dryly.
Before anyone else could say anything, Liam spoke in his usual deep voice, âNothing.â
Sylvia gathered herself.
Isabel and Flint distractedly picked up the cutlery.
Odell glanced at Liam and said, âLet's eat.â
Caprice was puzzled by the sudden stiffness, and she snuck a glance at Liam who was beside her. There was not a single trace
of emotion on his face, so she figured that it was probably all in her head.
She began eating.
Isabel had some work to do later that evening, thus she left after eating.
Flint had to return to the laboratory as well and excused himself shortly after.
Sylvia and Odell were still feeling jet-lagged from the overnight flight, and they needed some rest.
After a short chat with Caprice, Sylvia turned to Liam. âLiam, take Caprice home.â
Liam grunted, âHmm.â
Sylvia added, âMake sure you come back after that. | have something to tell you.â
Liam turned quiet for a moment before saying, âOkay.â
With that, Sylvia and Odell went upstairs.
Caprice followed Liam out of the house.
The weather was very fine today. As soon as they stepped outside they felt a gentle breeze beating against their bodies. It was
the perfect weather for a nap.
Shortly after Caprice got into the car, she fell asleep with her head tilted to the side.
When she woke up, the car was parked at the entrance of Sparkrow University Girls Dormitory She found herself slumped
against Liam's shoulder.
Her eyes flickered with shock. She quickly straightened herself and apologized to Liam, âSorry, Liam, | fell asleep. | didnât mean
to do that.â
Liam expressed with a frown, âI wasnât accusing you of doing it intentionally.â
So what if she had done it intentionally?
Why was she frantically apologizing for something so mundane?
He looked at her sharply.
Caprice had already unbuckled her seat belt and was halfway out the door.

Before Liam could get a word out, she smiled and turned to him. âLiam, Iâm going. See
you.â
With that, she stepped outside and shut the door with a thud before passing through the dormitory gate.
Liam growled irritably, âLetâs go.â
The driver swung the car around.
After roughly half an hour, he was home.
Sylvia had already woken up from her nap. She was sipping tea in the living room with a shawl thrown around her shoulder.
Liam went to sit down on the armchair next to her.
Sylvia smacked her lips and began, âLiam, | was talking with Caprice and your siblings earlier this afternoon. We confirmed with
her that she doesnât have any interest in any other man at the moment, and weâre pretty sure she still has feelings for you. Can
you tell me what you feel about
her now?â
Liam's eyes shifted.
Why was she alienating him if she did not have any other romance going on?
Upon sensing his hesitation, Sylvia frowned faintly. There was no way to tell what the boy was thinking since he never let his
emotions slip through. She changed her approach. âDo you still want to be with her? Do you want to marry
her?â
Liam answered firmly, âYes.â
Sylviaâs creased frown eased a little upon receiving this answer. She assured him, âAlright, I'll talk to Aunt Sherry about it, and
we'll arrange the engagement.â
âNot yet.â
âWhy?â
âCaprice...sheâs still young.â
âShe might be young, but sheâs an adult. An engagement is fine.â
Liam said pensively, âOkay.â
They could at least get engaged first.
Forget about what was on her mind for now. She belonged to him and him only, they were going to get engaged at one point or
another anyway.
