Chapter 2122

Sylvia led Odell by his hand as she happily strolled into the living room.

Caprice followed them closely.

Liam was there as well, holding a child no more than four months old. It was his and Caprice's son.

Flint followed behind him with a feeding bottle in hand.

Isabel was not expecting everyone to be at home. She found herself overcome with a warm and wholesome feeling and smiled

brightly at the sight of them.

Sylvia went up to her and gently took her hand into hers. "Don't you have work today? Why did you suddenly come home without

notice?"

Isabel followed them to the couch in the living room. She told them, "I pushed back my schedule for a few days. | decided | need

some rest."

Sylvia remarked with a supportive smile, "I see, it's a wonderful coincidence that your brother and Caprice are going to stay at

home for the next few days as well. Flinty has several days off too. It's a good chance for all of you to spend some time together.

Isabel smiled and seemed enthused about this arrangement.

Caprice took her child in her arms and drew closer to Isabel. "Sis, he wants to play with you."

The child kept waving his chubby arms in Isabel's direction as if he knew by instinct that this was his aunt. He was smiling from

ear to ear the entire time and making tiny squeals. Words could not describe how adorable he looked.

It brought a smile to Isabel’s face as she gently took her nephew in her arms.

"Sis, take this," Flint said as he handed her a toy.

Isabel dangled the toy in front of the boy.

The little fellow giggled and squealed when he saw the toy. He was indescribably adorable.

Isabel grinned, and she had never felt happier.

Caprice was just as glad to see Isabel smiling so happily. Liam and Flint both heaved a sigh of relief at the sight as well.

Sylvia and Odell exchanged a look, their worries washed away.

Isabel lazed around at home.

She spent her time cycling between a handful of activities such as watching TV shows, snacking, playing with Caprice and

Liam's child, or playing video games with Flint.

This relaxed lifestyle was far preferable to her hectic work schedule.

It was only during the weekend when Amanda gave her a call and asked about her whereabouts and reminded her about her

upcoming shoot with " The Wonder” that she remembered that she had responsibilities to attend to.

When she answered the call, she was slumped over a giant cushy bed with a movie cast on the projector screen against the

wall. There was also a giant bowl of snacks positioned in front of her. She asked Amanda in a sluggish and unconcerned voice,

"Do you think you could postpone the shoot for me, please?”

She only wanted to wind down at home.

Amanda asked sternly, "Isabel, what is this? Are you planning to hang it up already?"

Isabel answered quite bluntly, "Yeah, | just want to relax at home.”

Amanda asked in a troubled tone ’If you're planning to relax at home, then what happens to me? What am | supposed to do for

income?"

Isabel knew more so than anyone how devoted to her Amanda was. To be precise, Amanda had poured all of her energy and

resources into her and her alone. If she decided to up and quit out of nowhere, it would be devastating for Amanda.

She took a sip of her fruit juice and told her, ’I will support you financially."

Amanda was too stunned for words. She sighed weakly before expressing,” Have you lost your passion for life after lazing

around at home these past few days? Listen, | have been through a lot of things in my day as well, except I've had it far rougher

than you because | don't have anything to fall back on, not a dollar to my name. | was weighed down by a giant amount of debt

and barely had money to afford food."

"In the grand scheme of things, this setback is nothing at all. So what if we don't have any endorsements right now? You still

have ‘Legend of the Goddess’ as well as ‘The Wonder’. As long as you remain relevant, it's only a matter of time before someone

approaches us and..."

She said everything in one breath.

If it was any other time, Isabel would merely brush this off as typical nagging and cut her off. This time, however, she let Amanda

finish while she lay comfortably in bed while munching on her snacks.

"Isabel, don't forget you're one of the most famous celebrities right now. Are you going to give up at the peak of your career? No

matter how rich your parents are, they can’t take care of you forever. They might be hoping that you'd be the one to step up and

take care of them in the future."

Amanda was highly doubtful that Isabel was only doing this because she wanted a break. She knew that Isabel was trying to run

away from everything because she could not handle the crushing defeat.

Isabel took a deep breath. She could sense that Amanda was genuinely trying to encourage her.

She did not want to let Amanda down either. To be honest, she was not going to quit just yet; it was just a period of laziness on

her part.

She said in a determined voice, "| understand, Amanda. I’m going to go get ready now and be on the set on time."

Amanda perked up when she heard this. "Perfect, | have some time today, so I'll join you on the set as well.”
