Chapter 254
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 254 Odellâs expression darkened as soon as Tara spoke. âEdmund is also here?â he asked in a
cold voice. Taraâs eyes flickered, but she pretended to be ignorant and said, âEdmund? Is that the man
we saw last time at the Elysian House?
Odell pursed his lips coldly. Tara looked at his face and continued to play dumb, saying, âHe also came
yesterday afternoon and laughed and chatted with Sylviå. It seems they went out for dinner together after
the event as well.â Odellâs hand clenched at his sides. âNo wonder she came to see the children when it
was past 8 p.m. Itâs because she went out for dinner with Edmund!â
âSylvia has been single for many years, so I think Edmund and her are for real this time. Itâs really
possible that theyâre together,â Tara spoke absentmindedly and then looked at his horribly stony face.
She reached for his arm and asked softly, âWhatâs wrong, Odell? You donât look too good.â Odell pursed
his lips and restrained the coldness in his eyes. He replied, âIâm fine.â Then, he walked past Sylviaâs
painting and went to the other side. Tara secretly looked at his face and said nothing. After walking for a
while, they saw Sylvia and Edmund. Odell stopped. Tara followed him closely and also stopped. Sylvia
did not notice them and continued talking to Edmund. Edmund was pointing at a painting and asked,
âWhatâs that little thing in this painting? Is it a cricket?â
Sylvia was amused and said with a smile, âI think itâs a small fish, but Iâm not very knowledgeable about
this painting.â They continued to walk forward as they joked.
Soon, Sylvia saw Odell standing less than three meters directly in front of her. The long black coat
outlined his straight posture, and he looked at her with cold eyes.
Sylvia was startled and went pale.
âSylvia, what a coincidence,â Tara said with a smile while holding onto Odell.
Sylviaâs eyes flickered as she said nothing. Odell said coldly, âDonât you hear Tara talking to you?â
Just as Sylvia was about to say something, Edmund suddenly stopped forward behind her and stood in
front of her. He looked at Odell with a smirk. âMaster Carter, itâs Lil Sylâs business if she wants to ignore
Tara. Isnât it inappropriate for you to lecture her like this?â
âLil Syl?â Odellâs eyes turned cold. He glanced at Sylvia and then said to Edmund, âThatâs between us.
Itâs none of your business.â Edmund chuckled and raised a hand to put on Sylviaâs shoulder. âLil Syl is
my friend. Her business is my business.â Odell looked at his hand on Sylviaâs shoulder and reminded him
in a cold voice, âEdmund, youâd better not mess with me.â âOf course, I wonât dare to provoke someone
like you, but Lil Syl is my friend. Anyone who dares to bully my friend means that they donât have any
respect for me. In that case, Iâll throw caution to the wind and never let them go!â The corners of Odellâs
lips turned down coldly. âIs that so?â So, a gangster wanted to fight with him. Edmund smiled. âYeah.â
The already cold air suddenly became tense. Sylvia had a bad feeling and hurriedly took Edmundâs
hand, saying softly, âStop it.â Edmund looked at Tara beside Odell. He narrowed his eyes at her and said,
âThis lady looks familiar. Have we met somewhere?â Taraâs expression changed as she quickly said,
âYouâre mistaken. We donât know each other.â Then, she took Odellâs arm and said with a pleading tone,
âLetâs not stay here and go somewhere else, Odell.â
She then pulled him away.
Odell shot Sylvia a cold look and left with Tara.
Sylviaâs face paled at his frigid gaze. Edmund looked down and immediately saw her uneasy
expression. He said, âDonât be scared, Lil Syl. Iâll protect you. Iâll make sure that he canât hurt you.â
