The next day, at the Carter residence.

Tara arrived as usual. She was also carrying two delicate boxes. After entering the living room, she

bumped into Sebastian and Aunt Tonya. She changed her expression and showed them a smile.

“Sebastian and Aunt Tonya, good morning.” Sebastian replied, “Hello, Ms. Avery.”

Aunt Tonya simply snorted coldly and turned her head to the side, pretending not to see her.

Tara secretly cussed at the woman in her heart, but she walked up to Aunt Tonya with a smile on her

face.

“Aunt Tonya, these are gifts that I picked out for Isabel and Liam. Could you please help me take it to

their room?” She handed over the boxes to Aunt Tonya. Aunt Tonya’s face instantly went cold. “Tara

Avery, what kind of tone is that? Do you consider yourself the master here?”

‘How dare she directly order me to do something?

‘Does she think I’m too old and stupid to understand her meaning?

Tara immediately put on an innocent expression. “That’s not what I meant, Aunt Tonya. Isabel and Liam

are the closest to you. I can’t go up to their room, so I just thought that I could ask you to help me take it

over to them.” Aunt Tonya became furious when she saw Tara’s one-man act. “Out of everyone here,

why did you ask me to help you? You’re just deliberately asking for a fight!” Tara’s eyes reddened as if

she was about to cry.

Aunt Tonya could not help but roll her eyes.

Seeing the situation, Sebastian moved forward and tugged Aunt Tonya to her to stop shouting at Tara.

Then, he said to Tara, “Ms. Avery, I’ll help you take the things to the children.” He extended his hand

toward Tara.

However, Tara continued to explain anxiously, “Aunt Tonya, that’s really not what I meant. I don’t think of

myself as the master here. I just wanted to come see Grandma and help Sylvia take care of the

children.”

Aunt Tonya was incensed at her words. “Don’t you dare speak Syl’s name! You’re not worthy!” Tara said

aggrievedly, “I know that you watched Sylvia grow up, and her passing has made you very sad, but don’t

worry. I will take care of you on her behalf.” Aunt Tonya felt like her lungs were about to explode.

Tara covered her face and cried. “That’s really not what I meant…” “Stop acting already! !’ll beat you to

death!” Aunt Tonya was about to charge at her. Sebastian saw that things were looking bad and quickly

tried to stop her. At that moment, a tall figure came down the stairs. When Sebastian saw that Aunt

Tonya had not noticed Odell’s presence and was about to hit Tara, he quickly shouted, “Master Carter!”

Aunt Tonya froze and turned to see Odell’s dark and displeased face. Tara immediately cried and looked

at Odell. “Odell, I just wanted to give Isabel and Liam a gift. I didn’t mean anything else.” Odell walked

straight up to her and helped her up from the ground. “I know.” He had overheard her conversation with

Aunt Tonya from upstairs. Tara had been compromising since the beginning. It was Aunt Tonya who was

being unreasonable.
