Chapter 578
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 578
Tears began to roll down Taraâs cheeks.
âlam not asking for forgiveness. | just hope that my actions have not affected you too badly. | really, really hope that you can live
a happy life with Sylvia, every single day. Then, even if | die, | will be able to rest in peace.â
There was an annoyed look on Odellâs face. âYou are just weak, you wonât die.â
Tara bitterly smiled. âDying is better than living in extreme guilt and pain.â
âWhat happened is all in the past now and | will consider that weâre now even. | won't hold you responsible for what you did, so
donât be so harsh on yourself.â âOkay, I'll do whatever you want.â Glancing at her phone, Tara looked at him with anticipation and
said, âOdell, | still have to work later tonight and Iâm running late. Could you give me a ride? Itâs just outside the Old District. |
promise that after this, | wonât appear before you anymore. Letâs just think of this as the conclusion to our relationship. Please?â
Odell glanced at his watch and saw that it had already passed midnight.
Both Isabel and Liam should already be asleep.
That woman had probably done so as well.
After thinking a while, he said, âOkay.â
There was only one small hospital near Sylviaâs place. However, there was a major roadblock along the only way to the hospital
due to the earlier car accident.
Fortunately, her place was close to the Old District, which was only a twenty minutes drive away. Sylvia arrived at the bigger
hospital at Old District with Aunt Tonya.
After handling the registration, Aunt Tonya requested for a wheelchair for Sylvia before she pushed her to the doctorâs
consultation room.
They soon came to an elevator. However, since the building was more than ten stories high, they had to wait for quite some time
for the elevator to reach the first floor.
Ding!
The doors slid open.
Just as Sylvia was about to wheel herself in, she looked up and saw a tall, familiar figure
The man was dressed in a well-cut suit, matched with an overcoat. The aura that he exuded was cold and stern,
It was Odell. Sylvia was not only shocked by his appearance but also âTaraâs, who was beside him as if she was his wife.
Tara looked weak and pale, like a small animal that needed protection
Sylviaâs expression turned cold,
Both Odell and Taraâs expressions changed as well when they saw her. Odell strode to her and stared at her leg, âWhat
happened to your leg?â
Sylvia felt chills running up and down her spine, the cold seeming to freeze her from her heart to the rest of the body.
She scoffed and said, âSo you came here to accompany her?â
Odell frowned.
Before he could explain, âTara immediately said, âSylvia, itâs not what you think. Odell just happened to save me from some
gangsters and | asked him to give me a lift.â
Just a coincidence?
âWhat a coincidence. So, you just happened to be chased by gangsters and just so happened to be saved by Odell? Tara, donât
tell me it's one of your schemes again,â Sylvia said coldly. Taraâs gaze changed and tears began to roll down her cheeks.
Weakly, she said, âYou are free to believe whatever you want as long as you donât misunderstand Odell.â
âMy my. Itâs been a while since we've met and | have to say that your acting skills have gotten better.â
Tara wiped her tears away as she choked up. Sylvia laughed. âTara, please stop. | didnât really say that much. You donât need to
put on such a big act.â Tara continued to weep as she said to Odell, âOdell, I'll leave you two alone now. I'll take my leave now.â
Covering her face, she immediately ran outside the hospital. Before she could run far, she slipped on the slippery ice and fell to
the ground. âHmph!â Sylvia scoffed. Odell shot a gaze at Sylvia. âEnough.â Sylvia turned to Aunt Tonya and said, âAunt Tonya,
let's go up.â Aunt Tonya immediately pushed Sylvia into the elevator. Sylvia saw Odell walk to Tara but the doors slid to a close
before she could see what he would do with her.
The elevator went up.
Sylvia clenched her hands into fists, the palms of her hands were cold and clammy. Looking at her injured calf, she felt a sense
of irony.
